Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was the first game I played as a kid, but damn I kept only fighting Miracle Matter. I didn't even realize back then that you need to collect all of the crystal shards, like 100% completed from each planets in order to beat the true final boss of Dark Matter called Zero Two. Man everything was memorable from playing the adventures on it, especially the adorable fairy Ribbon and seeing Zero Two's fallen angel form looking badass. Still, it's one of my favorite Kirby games with Super Star Ultra in second and Squeak Squads third.

So we went from a battling a tree with face to a final boss that looks like a undead demonic angle who's eye bleeds when you shoot it good god I never realized it, but Kirby games always seem to have some dark morbid things in them. It's seems like Nintendo likes to put dark and morbid things into there games and I love it because it's not in your face you have to play more of the game to find the darker story.
Something to make the Zero 2 fight faster: shoot the wings while he's panicking. He won't be able to aim his eye at you so you can go straight for his bandage.

Maybe I exxagerate but this game and KDL2 & 3 are very dark games but in the shell they seem like really cute games. Think about it, in this game you fight against possesed monsters, Shiver Star is like an apocalyptic future Earth were the main boss is a war robot and the final boss is a fallen angel. That's why i like Kirby games.
It's my least favorite kirby game. Though, that doesn't mean much since it's still a kirby game. It's really something when a game series like kirby doesn't have any bad entries. (Squeak Squad was awesome, I really don't get the hate.)

Original Zero was better, only difference I guess was the contrast in music. Zero2 was the easiest boss in the game next to wispy. Plus the blood was more abundant during Zero's fight in Dreamland 3 than it was in Zero2's fight.
