I always liked the look of those 6030’s. Went to look at a restored one about 15 years ago. It was sharp really wanted to buy it until……I tried driving it around the driveway. Walked away and never wanted anything Deere again.
It's legitimately all deere parts. Stock deere head, stock body injectors with lasered tips, harts pump, and a regrind on the stock cam. The turbo even came on a big block deere from the factory in this video (we've since changed that to something different). The pto, 3pt., and hydraulics still all work and were on the tractor until this past may. We took em off to move up to too hot to farm this year.
Brock Menold I build tractors for pulling, I understand what your saying, but I also know the truth. Guys that run Ford's say they have a stock head, yeah stock head off of a Genesis engine, not stock for the engine number they have
@@georgealmeida7382 oh shit yeah yours would have a quad range I had the wrong tractor in my head. But what is on the 6030 would be a syncro or a powershift
6030 getting down to business
Not the biggest John Deere fan however those 60 30s were a force to be reckoned with! Thanks for the ride!
Does it rob too much power to use the brake to help steer? The shifter must be off a cheap MTD mower.
NOTHING shifts like a DEERE
Looks like need to work on shifter linkage
That’s not a quad that’s a syncro
Needs a tuneup in the linkage
1000%
7th gear?
It was here, yes. We didn't think it had the power to get down the track in road at that time. This was about the fifth pass that tractor ever made.
Is it difficult to shift.
Biggest pain in the ass known to man. Then sometimes it'll lock up. Had to back off the track one pull.
Yes;yes,yes

Brock Menold If your trying to sell that it's stock because you highly modified a stock part, I'm not buying
RJ 1999 it's stock deere head, pistons, manifolds etc AS THEY CAME FROM DEERE. The pump and injectors, as I said, are Harts but stock body.

RJ 1999 well, if it bolts right on it's not exactly highly modified is it?
Oh good old quad range I grew up shifting one of them noodle shifters
Sycro range not quad range.
Quads are on the 40 series. This would be a syncro
@@tylerferdon9071 ours is a 4230 and it has the quad range
@@georgealmeida7382 you mean like the 2 levers on the right side with abcd and 1234 on them?

John deere never know for good linkage
Quad range sucks but once you get it it works great
He can't drive the damn thang
