- In episode three of Behind The Design we'll be giving you an exclusive home tour of this beautiful apartment in the centre of Chelsea that was recently completed by our design team, where we'll be sharing some of our top design tips to help get the best from your own home and refurbishments.

I watch a lot of these home decor, home walk through, home profiling shows and I think I have become a little jaded. Your video left me breathless - your client could be my twin except for the whisky room and the cream coloured sofa. How he ever leaves home and hits the road without pinching himself is beyond me. This is beautiful and you tell the story in such captivating form. AMAZING!

Such a classy home. Very cozy at the same time. Loving the whiskey room decor. Classy Man pad. Such a brilliant recreation of the lazy boy chair. Yes the old style is long gone. They need to create new more appealing designs go to with today's trends. I just have a weakness for ceiling to floor curtains. Just found out about you Sophie; you have such creative ideas.The decor in this home is stunning..... :D xxx
Lazy Boys are the most comfortable but usually very bulky designs.
My guess is your client, who wanted a La-Z-Boy style recliner, could be an Australian or a Kiwi. I had a leather ‘Prince of Wales’ winged chesterfield recliner custom designed by Gascoyne (Western Australia); it has the pull-out foot stool and tilts back . So comfy to snooze in and my favourite chair. It would look incredible in his whiskey room 😉

Ohhhh Sophie... I am in love.....with your designs ....because they are absolutely amazing. I watch all your videos and I truly love your style... very soft, quiet, understated elegance...I recently bough an apartment in Guadalajara, Mexico is in a very trendy zone, it has very nice views of the city and is a double high ceiling with view from a mezzanine to the first floor to a HUGE window... I have been looking for some inspiration to decorate and make this apartment fit all my needs and wants (if possible) but I can't wrap my head around it. I can see now how hard it is and I think you have an amazing talent and impeccable taste.

This is what "perfectly designing" is all about, nothing forceful to stick to a theme, everything just organically adds to the luxurious cozy vibe.
Only one thing though, it feels like the filter on the video just washes out so many details & the depth of the colors.

The usual weights at the bottom of curtains are lead weights. I was a Seamstress many years ago. Also voile curtains have lead weights too. Personally I would say, there is no need to use them.
