So much steering! I loved that in my 65! it was like 3 turns of the wheel to make a right turn. (in Canada) it made it feel like you were really driving, like stick shift. A car that easily go 140 MPH with only DRUM BRAKES ! Magic carpet ride! No body in the car would NOTICE they were going 100 MPH
She certainly shifts along, luckily steering is reasonably tight. Just completed 3200 miles through France and Spain and she did us proud. Comfortable and fast, a great trip.
Wow! What a trip! I came into a bunch of money, out of the blue yesterday but have no idea what to do with all that at my age . I joked " What am I supposed to do now? Go out and find another Buick Wildcat?"
Sounds like a good plan to me David, mine is for sale at the moment unfortunately a bit too far for you. Come and join us on the Facebook group for wildcats, should be pretty easy to find and there are helpful people on there to give you assistance.
It’s a Seiko Prospex, solar powered. I’m wearing it with a budeswehr army watch strap. Hope that helps, it’s a nice watch though a little hard to see and read at night.
@@manitoba-op4jx thanks, but I've been driving this old stuff since I got my license so it's second nature to me. Currently driving a tiny little sports car but on the hunt for another old Detroit dinasour...
Not necessarily a Buick, I will probably go back to something larger again as I took too much of a swing in the opposite direction with the TR4. The Wildcat was just too big especially for our European road trip (parking was a nightmare). I had been thinking 66/67 Skylark GS400 as the perfect sized car. I’ve also been thinking of ending my run of cars the way I started with an AMC Javelin. Time will tell, we hope to do a European road trip this year (Covid permitting) and sell the TR after that.
Hehehehe, yeah I know it was a bit weak but to be fair it was unintended. I will endeavour to do another clip with some proper tyre squeal soon. I’ve got a load of material but I’ve made some changes to the car so I’ll be starting again soon, wouldn’t want the continuity police on my case! 😋
@@oldcarsnstuff he ain't speaking for me and I was scared as fk. I don't believe I'll ever attempt to drive in England ⭐🧡 but ❤ that 64' the year I was born. The first I've seen a 4-speed Buick too COOL💣💥
My cousin and I went cruisin colorado springs in my uncles brand new 69 skylark. Smokin' mustangs and camaros all night long. Used a quarter tank of premium per pass. Trailer package 455 auto. Scary fast. I was 13. Mike

What a motor!!
Thank you, she does OK.
feels like a 425 !
Absolutely beautiful and smooth, good ol fashioned American quality !! !!
Thank you very much, I really must create a more up to date video, there have been a lot of improvements to the car in the past two years.
Love it!!
Thanks Patrick, the car has had some subtle changes and I will do some more videos soon.
blow the horn let's hear the 64 sound !
Unfortunately the Buick has now been replaced by a Triumph TR4 of the same vintage, but I hope you enjoy the videos.
This reminds me of our 63 le sabre same dash ... nice memories
Kind sir, could you please tell me what watch are you wearing?

Any time.
A European locale.....
Portsmouth, Hampshire in the United Kingdom.

Everybody loves to see a classic car, as long as it's not in their lane.
My goodness, look at that interior! You gotta love that reticulating ball steering,no accuracy or feel AT ALL.
That was the intention, after all.
Wouldn't u really rather have a Buick?

right now
?
FYI. “Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick” was the slogan Buick used back in the ‘60’s & 70’s.
You are driving on the wrong side of the road 😂
Living on the edge! 😁
a american french car in britain ??
I think I can speak for the internet on this - that's not the kind of tire squeal we were hoping for. :-)

I remember the glass smooth driving. And fast.
She was very smooth and surprisingly quick.
