I finally got a chance to use my new rake today, and i really like it. I should have realized i could spin the rake backwards. You just gave me new way of using mine thanks. Subscribed.
Nice video, watching this convinced me to spend the money on a LR, I also have a pond in the woods that got away from me and showed me what I can do to clean it up. Stay safe.
Just found this and enjoyed it. A suggestion, get a mount to match your loader (looks like you have a Bobcat skid steer type) and add a hanger plate for suitcase weights to it. It'll give you good counter balance when working on a pucker-factor-9 slope and you can't use a bucket and is fairly cheap to set up. Be careful not to go beyond the weight rating of your loader. Also, suitcase weights can usually be hung on the inside lip of the bucket temporarily for counter balance when you've got room. Almost forgot, try to keep the weights to the inside of the loader arms and equal side-to-side so you don't put uneven torque on the loader arms and twist them.
ebay has a skid steer plate with adjustable ears to connect your 3 point implements to. By putting the rake on the front in place of the bucket you open up a whole new window of articulation with the rake. Unfortunately JD doesn't use the conventional skid steer style of quick attach for the front but I'm sure they make the JD style with the 3point adapter.
Great attention to details, love the commentsry and the canera view provided! Liked, Shared, Subscribed!

Hi Trevor, glad you discovered another feature on your rake, I sure use mine a lot, for the price it's a heck of an implement. Stay safe friend.

The rake is one of the most versatile implements I have especially when considering the cost, very reasonable cost, watch for a sale.

Hi Grant- All good points that I will remember and use. Thank you.
On the safe side, fill your FEL with dirt as a counter weight.
Daniel Bond Happy Sunday Daniel, good advice, have a good weekend and stay warm.
