I agree. He was pretty much saying f*ck what MJ wanted as a kid… it’s more important that he sold millions of records smh Like how do you know that was more important to Mike than having a childhood? Just because he’s a legend/icon doesn’t mean he actually got to enjoy his life & live it how he wanted.
The fact of how young MJ was when he died and how he died goes to show that maybe he would have did something different growing up. I mean he is gone , and he still has children here. What does it mean to have all the money when you can’t even enjoy it with the ones you love.
Very wrong and sad to see him struggle to acknowledge it. He kept going to the end result to justify the start. Michael ending up successful and rich was chance. An exception to the rule as many stage kids don't end up in there. That's 1. 2, before the big break, success, and wealth kick in (and regardless of whether it kicks in or not), it is wrong ro abuse your kids in HOPES that a big break, success, and wealth will be the end result. Especially considering the fact that most kids can't perceive and don't volunteer to sacrifice all that the stage kids do and most kids don't volunteer to work as hard as stage kids do and most kids don't volunteer to endure the level of abuse many stage kids do. Like a young Michael Jackson was happy to go through what he did because he had the vision (forsight)that he'd become the king of pop if he sucked it up and stuck it out. If thatcher the case, all them Jackson kids would've been begging for the same treatment and opportunity. Hell, all kids with talent would. The end doesn't negate the fact that stealing a child's childhood and making them do things that damages their spirit, minds, and hearts (with the hope that doing so is necessary for or will lead to fame and fortune for the child and their stage parents) is wrong. Even IF and when the ideal outcome for the child and their parents is reached years later. Michael's Jackson and those like him didn't HAVE to become what they did. While it's great he had a successful career (that we all got to enjoy the music of) it would have been okay if he had a regular life too. And that regular life could have included music and entertainment on non super star level. It's not "you need to be a superstar or you'll starve and we'll all be in poverty". That may be the reality for some ( ie some of sports celebs should grow up impoverished or rap artists who did). But the Jackson family were not in poverty. Michael Jackson's early childhood is not comparable to Allen Iversons and Allen Iverson, who had a natural talent for sports, voluntarily displayed it (and enjoyed). Freely. He didn't have a parent beating on him for not playing sports and he was able yo enjoy playing sports as a child outside with other kids. He was just better at said sports than most and eventually got recognized by the right people for it. His parents were not stage parents. Proof that parents don't have to be simply because they see exceptional talents in their kids. Let kids be kids. If they're meant fir fame and success due to a talent, it will come. Coach and encourage (to foster the skill and related gift), but don't abuse.
@@GrandisArcanum I believe that, too. If he was really a mental health guy he also wouldn't promote some of the music, entertainers, and behaviors he does as they all contribute to people developing or struggling with mental health issues. While I know he's not a mental health professional, his public history shows he is very open to pushing, participating in, AND entertaining nonsense for a bag. I like the podcast My Expert Opinion as they have some deep and thought provoking convos on there and dissect entertainment related content and celebs. They look at both sides and seem to consistently stress the importance of accountability and checking ones reality. They're not all about laughs and jokes for likes and pushing superficial content that's easy to discuss and digest. People, who identify as being of the "culture", are struggling mentally (and often in otherwise too). Many are unnecessarily dying, literally, or figuratively speaking. There are few platforms, that easily get noticed by the target audience of these pods, that speak enough about real issues in a serious and conscious way. That's needed. And while the JBP does touch on certain serious topics at times, it's still comes across as an immature podcast which speaks to their target audience and the types of topics the audience prefer to consume (in contrast to the content they need to consume and will benefit, overall and long term, from consuming).
I 💯 percent sure Joe just be arguing for content 9 out of 10 times. He used to make more sense with the old crew but now with Ish being so logical he’s gotta make it a show. He act like he can’t understand shit
I generally think he picks and chooses his side for pod content. The tax convo he arguing from the mentality of the woman but also exposing the mentality of the women he date.
@@dvonnlynch1607 yeah that’s the point these drops are for non Patronies. It’s great advertising to get them to hear/see what they can get and that the subscription is worth it.
I agree with Ish about some parents. I think it’s probably 25% that say do whatever, I have no idea. 25% that say be comfortable or do something that makes money with no thought of what the kid leans toward. 25% that say follow your passion/ your heart and 25% that say school. Ish always speaks as if his experience is the only black experience.
Regarding the stage parent convo, Dakota Fanning is a perfect example of someone who acted and yet had a normal "childhood". She went to college and wasn't in Hollywood when not working. Her parents protected her, from my optics.
This conversation was excellent and needs to be had with both sexes present. There are sooooo many women, myself included who agree with Ish when it comes to finances and relationships. Many cultures approach relationships like a business and have mad success so much so that even if they separate much later in life, both parties are financially stable because they worked together as a team to build wealth for years.
I need that episode where Ash was there and everybody was clowning Ish for living with his ex…that shit was hilarious. It was so long ago I can’t find it tho

Coach and encourage (to foster the skill and related gift), but don't abuse.
he a fake mental health guy. doesn't even care about kids depression
These some good drops
I 💯 percent sure Joe just be arguing for content 9 out of 10 times. He used to make more sense with the old crew but now with Ish being so logical he’s gotta make it a show. He act like he can’t understand shit
you talking about him not caring whether or not kids are depressed?
I generally think he picks and chooses his side for pod content. The tax convo he arguing from the mentality of the woman but also exposing the mentality of the women he date.
Bahahahaha Ish being the man of reason and then following it up with throwing his girls food out cause of pork is HILARIOUS.
Damn. I have no choice but to subscribe for patreon now. They don't hold back, and the conversations are spicy.
Oh I’m subbing to the pateron😂😂😂 the poorssss☠️☠️☠️☠️
This got released on soundcloud a while ago. Joe sick with the double release 😂😷
Smart. It’s for the non Patronies so they can c what they will get if they subscribe. Smart marketing.
@@nicolebabi1314 definitely smart. I'm getting back on there 1st of December. I'm resold 😂
I knew I heard this somewhere before, & I didn't pay for it.
Yeah this was an episode from like August or something, I definitely remember this conversation
@@dvonnlynch1607 yeah that’s the point these drops are for non Patronies. It’s great advertising to get them to hear/see what they can get and that the subscription is worth it.
This was the best pod in a minute . No 🧢
I agree with Ish about some parents. I think it’s probably 25% that say do whatever, I have no idea. 25% that say be comfortable or do something that makes money with no thought of what the kid leans toward. 25% that say follow your passion/ your heart and 25% that say school. Ish always speaks as if his experience is the only black experience.
I love the stage dad topic✊🏾🔥👍🏾
I can't help it. this is my 4th and final comment for this video(I hope). Joe is insane on this episode. Bugging is the only word I have. wtf.
I'm with ish ALL THE WAY !!!
Ish challenges joe I LOVE IT LOL
This was probably one of Thee best if not the best topic yet
Word of Advice: Never go into a business with or hire a family member. You can support or give em startup money with little supervision.
I love how yall feel special with these old pods 😩
Saving all the good podding for the patreons
Regarding the stage parent convo, Dakota Fanning is a perfect example of someone who acted and yet had a normal "childhood". She went to college and wasn't in Hollywood when not working. Her parents protected her, from my optics.
I might have to download and pay for these
This conversation was excellent and needs to be had with both sexes present. There are sooooo many women, myself included who agree with Ish when it comes to finances and relationships.
Many cultures approach relationships like a business and have mad success so much so that even if they separate much later in life, both parties are financially stable because they worked together as a team to build wealth for years.
Aight this is the third Patreon exclusive I watch on RUclips in the past 2h and I’m going on patreon this shit to good I’ve been sleep
I need that episode where Ash was there and everybody was clowning Ish for living with his ex…that shit was hilarious. It was so long ago I can’t find it tho
