I had this video idea now for a very long time. While digging through all my favorite and worst cob lyrics, i stumbled upon those and many more. I wasnt sure if I should make it just because its a very taboo topic. I held on to that now for about a year. Well. The script at least.
Let me tell you, almost all of alexis lyrics got some very dark touches. And some of them are so well disguised behind words that you only can relate to them if you visit certain places yourself.
Angels dont kill is a very weird song lyrically, which doesnt make a lot of sense until you see it with different eyes. "One minute you're an angel fallen from grace, Next, the fist that I hate"
Why is it an angel and then a fist that you hate? Well lets say its very metaphorically.
"You're no good, It feels so cold" just makes sense if you visited certain places. And I do not recommend to visit them.
If you have a spare weekend, spent the time digging through all the lyrics. It's terrifying.
If you deal with depression, self harm or suicidal thoughts, please seek out for help.
You don't have to live like this. Don't let it consume you.
And if you think about self harm, dont. It will eat you, it will consume everything until you are numb.
Its not worth it. Dont walk these roads. They are dark and lead you to much more terrifying states of mind than anything that probably caused it. And numbness is the most terrifying state you can visit.

But I guess thats the last one for Alexi. At this point I would be beating a dead horse and force something and I dont want that. Maybe I just focus on some full cob covers once I figured how to get close to jannes key sounds haha.

I've spent a lot of time reading his lyrics in the past some of them are just chilling. He was NOT in a good place when writing Halo of Blood, for sure. Waste of Skin, Damaged Beyond Repair. Then I remember really getting into Everytime I Die and seeing those lines "out of strength to fight, I cannot take another night". (Chokehold) Cocked and Loaded got me as well. Follow the Reaper...so many songs I thought exuded hate and aggression outwards when I was younger and I now realise most of them were aimed at himself.

Sometimes it's so much going on and it's so confusing, that we don't get the messages. Maybe, maybe not. As always with lyrical pieces, we only can interpret the intention of the writer.
Thank you very much 💜 it's a pleasure to please all of you with some Bodom content from time to time. Yeah, last year was quite the bosom ride. I don't know where this channel takes me from here, but i guess the bodom stuff will always stick to me. And I don't think this is a bad thing. Below all these videos in the comments there were people thanking, grieving and dealing with all the shit and it's amazing to see that i could uplift some of those with just a short video and a little bit of effort and time.

I would have added You're better off dead. I love the aggressiveness of it. Also, I must say that even if a lot of lyrics from Alexis are just something he obviously wrote in a moment, other are spontaneous but deep as well. I struggle a lot at one point in life, specially during my mandatory military service where I was basically a slave for generals, coronels and captains and songs like Towards dead end or Hate Crew Deathroll accompanied me in dark hours.

I try to double check everything and stumbled upon the fix too. And I would comply with that too, cuz imo it doesn't change the meaning. I guess at least.
