I just heard Ms. Kelly in Atlanta. She deserved a standing ovation after every song. She is not capable of singing a note that is not genuine and pure. Her simplicity and spontaneity outshined everyone else on stage. She is simply a miracle, and I wish I could have told her so myself. Brava!
This song and her performance will always be in my heart and mind when we met while she was on tour and I was a dresser ..my mom had just passed away and Laura dedicated her performance to my mom on that night and I will always be grateful to Laura's kindness and generosity. Specifically..."don't cry because I'm alone" was the point where I had to have a private little cry..as I'm sure she did as well.
I first heard “Hello Young Lovers,” sung by Sarah Jane McMahon, at a concert telling Richard Rodgers’ life story interspersed with music from the Rodger’s and Hammerstein musicals. Before beginning the program, someone joked that it would be an evening full of waltzes. However, there were actually only three songs in 3/4 time. The concert opened with “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” and closed with “Edelweiss.” This lovely song was performed right in the middle, and I distinctly remember it as the “middle waltz.”

😍😍she would make an amazing maria in sound of music!!
That would be wonderful if Broadway can hurry up to bring Sound of Music back to the heart of NYC.
How lucky for us that both Kelli O'hara and Laura Michelle Kelly are vocal goddesses!

FINALLY...! I can legally listen to LMK's perfection in The King and I... 😅
I’m so glad I saw her sing this live when they toured. I will never forget that day. It was such an amazing show.
I saw the King & I back in March in Costa Mesa. And Laura Michelle Kelly as Anna was a beautiful treat to see as much as the staging & music.
Sweet Jesus! Last time I heard something this beautiful John Laurens was still alive
Mary Poppins meet Ana Leonowens...perfection!
And she also played Hodel in Fiddler :)
I saw her at the Kennedy Center, If you have any chance to see the show, GO!!!!
OMG! Such a beautiful voice!
Beautiful!
Bravo!!! Heavenly!

Jesus Christ.... this is... perfection....
I love it
I really really wish our paths had crossed. Her voice is my Achilles heel and I definitely would’ve tried to make her fall for me. Lol
I saw her in Finding Neverland in 2016, and now I'll be seeing her in Hershey in King and I this coming April
I saw her in Costa Mesa almost two months ago
I can't swear that being able to sing like Laura Michelle Kelly would solve all my problems but it seems rude to not let me try.

Ughh .. why did you have to go and get married? Why couldn't you wait for me?
Very good. But not when trying to make it a pop song. It was written for the theatre and should be sung as such.
I agree.
Who is making it a pop song?
