    never realized red Oak was so different than white oak

      Not to mention the amount of tannins. Both have them, but white oak has way less.
      White oak is also much more resistant to rot and bacteria storage.

      ​@@philkugler2429 I am really blown away by how aromatic it is. After just handling the cups for a few seconds my hands smell awesome. Its been a super fun project.
