Organoids offer the opportunity to culture the patient tumor in the laboratory and to study its biology, behavior and response to treatments much better. This technology allows to get information that may help us to find predictive indicators for early diagnosis and effective treatments, this way increasing successful therapies and reducing non-effective treatments and side effects, and also expenses. Organoid technology is a very sensitive model system that requires the use of high quality products. Corning’s products have been crucial for the establishment this model in our lab, for example, Corning® Matrigel® matrix is a key point of the organoid culture procedure, as it allows the three-dimensional growth of organoids and so the successful establishment of this type of cultures.
