My wife and I visited Japan a month after it opened and it was AMAZING there weren't much tourists yet, Kyoto and Nara were void of people, we were so lucky... Also the hotels in Tokyo were dirt cheap not it costs 3 times the price we paid... Loved it and I'm planning to visit with her again
I recently visited Kanazawa on my trip to Japan and there were a few tourists for sure in the Samurai House district but I was surprised that the Geisha district was a total ghost town when I was there. Very pretty place and super walkable around the city center! Oh yeah, the park was super mid though, maybe it was just because I visited late February when all the plants were yellow and dead but it for sure didn't leave an impression.
13:21 sounds like the Haruka limited express, my normal Osaka/Kyoto train for almost 3 months was the Hankyu Kyoto Main Line but occasionally took the Haruka
@@fikrihaikal837 The Hankyu Kyoto Main Line is operated by Hankyu Railway. and operate a number of different services between Kyoto and Osaka Usually took the "local" or the "semi express, stopping all stations or most stations on the route - cheapest & slowest about 400 yen for 45 minutes. The Haruka Express is a high speed (but not Shinkansen high speed) express run by JR with a single stop between Osaka Station and Kyoto Station (stops at Shin-Osaka station) fast - about 25 minutes , and quite expensive at 2800yen compared to the Hankyu Kyoto Main Line local train. So I only used it when I was so tired I just wanted to get home quickly
Damn, where was that Kyoto to Osaka train when I was there?! Would've happily paid the extra even though I already had a JR Pass :O While they are super close, try to figure out the direct trains between the 2 was more of a hassle than it should've been. Even had a train that was on the right platform and departure time for getting back to Kyoto...suddenly turns off onto a different track! =_=
The more and more i learn about this country.... The more i feel like it isn't for me. As someone from India who is vegetarian, doesn't drink or smoke... The only thing I find interesting really is the natural beauty, the history and drifting. I also kinda don't dig the serious and reserved attitude since I'm used to more open and free here in Delhi. But learning to drift down a mountain or eating a popsicle on a hot summer in a middle of nowhere village in Japan have been dreams of mine.
Went later end of February this year. Was quite busy, but never experienced any 'shoulder-to-shoulder' hell. Busiest part was a street by Arashiyama Forest, but that seemed to be a lot more local tourists than foreign tourists. So avoid the major tourist times i.e. sakura season if you want less busy, but as a major city that was once the capital it'll likely have a lot of people all the time unless you stick to out of the way areas.
To be fair.. to be fair… UK have no idea how to cook eels. Jelly eels are like last resort survival food. Drowning the natural flavour in sweet sauce is top tier chad cooking.
@@matiasalanis397 True, but I don't really wanna visit touristy areas. I wanna see and experience the mundane. Big flashy stuff is just not as impactful to me

kyoto is an early morning city for site-seeing
Fancy Boi vs fancy train conductor. I’ll buy that for ¥500

British people put eels in jelly in jars or whatever. Grilled eel is gonna be a lot more appetizing.
The first time I tried eel was in a Japanese restaurant near me. I was not prepared for how salty it was, like a took a bite and swelled up.
is there a timeframe where kyoto is not busy? or is it packed all year round?
It’s a major city

You could've just ended that sentence with "The UK has no idea how to cook."
Tbf Ishikawa has good salt production loll
Well, at least they have something.
well, that's one more thing ishikawa will be known for now
Looked up pics of Kanazawa. Looks gorgeous. But hearing Connor talk about it, maybe it's not going on my list.
I'd hate to go to Japan just to be surrounded by a bunch of tourists
I bet they all think the same you do which is funny because you'd be part of those tourists

I mean airsoft is a Japanese invention so it's associated with Japan, idk about tacos and shisha
Conner has had enough of Japan, he's ready to move on.
wtf where are all the comments
I love unagi I don't get why people don't like it
13:50 I kinda hear the lisp that hasan was talking about
You can definitely hear it in his older streams, got way better tho
Idk why but the British way of saying tacos makes me deeply angry, specifically connor
The guys😊😊😊😊
British people who don’t like eel?
Don’t they boil it in the uk and eat it as some boiled gelatinized paste?
Japanese eel is waaaay better.
