Charles is going to go down as one of the best fighters in history. He's only 32 years old. Look at what he's accomplished so far. Absolutely incredible
It's sad how many casual MMA fans follow Ariel Helwani. It's not the 155.5 pound title, it's the 155 pound title. This is not new to MMA, only for the casual MMA fans like yourself maybe 🤡
@@keithmma7750 lmao , u sound like the USA casual... Khabib was way heavier than Charles in his last fight (against Justin too), but they let it slide. He literally saw most weight ins , so I rather hear his point of view about how they go than yours, a random casual
@@keithmma7750 You want to be pedantic, I'll be pedantic. You're calling Ariel's followers casuals, why the f are you here then? are you a casual too? Having 'MMA' as your profile name doesn't suddenly gives your comments and comments any more substance, it's still hollow. 'Keith Casual'
I've just watched an interview that Charles gave to a Brazilian media, it surprised how him and his team overcame that situation very quickly. According to him his dad was crying and he didn't want to hydrate again but his team amazingly brought he back. This victory made Charles even greater. "The champion has a name and his name is Charles Oliveira" 🏆
After the weight in i thought "wow that's the moment to bet the house on justin gaethje". I've never bet once in my life and I'm not interested in gambling so I didn't but oliveira looked defeated and his win over justin is a testament for his spirit. The guy is a beast, in 2 days he overcomed his demons and won easily, his mind is bullet proof. This is probably more impressive than Marvin Vettori fighting against a heavyweight Paulo Costa without notice.
Yea, who tf comes up with these rules, yea I get the part that you're a champ you should be "perfect" but common, what difference does .5 pounds makes evermore when after the weigh-ins you add +10 pounds
He's looked so good from the tony fight he took it to another level. Not the biggest fan but I love his fighting style. Gets rocked and drops guard daring his opponent to come down. Which gives him extra time to get his head right. It helps having the best jujitsu in mma and some of the best mui tai I've ever seen
The fact he went out and blitzed him without having his belt, shows how great this man is! He is the only champ and he is another level. Full respect to him 💯💪
Imagine that psychological stress: When charles was trying to cut the last 0,5 pounds justin already had 155,5, then he get stripped of his title, and then he gets booed at the last staredown. After all that: 1st round submission wtf
Despite the weight drama, the stress off missing his weight cut and all that, dude came in, got dropped twice by arguably the nastiest puncher in that division and still managed to get a W. Dude is a freaking monster man, his technique is on point and his submission game is beyond everything. Give the man his 🌸. Shame we won’t see him against Khabib..
Thank you Ariel for standing up for Charles Oliver. I like how Charles said "it's not about the title, it's about the journey." He has faith and humility. He is a good role model.
Charles proved he was superior. His killer instinct was incredible. If Justin didn’t tap who knows what would’ve happened, he knew it was so clean. Charles was pissed
Yeah and if the UFC let Charles continue as champion for missing weight, he would make a video criticizing how the UFC could let someone defend their belt after missing weight. That's what a pathetic biased journalism is. Only an imbecile would support Ariel Helwani. Go watch Bellator or Boxing please..
Oliveira ABSOLUTELY got screwed. That poor man drained every drop of water from his body, he was completely dehydrated (hence he couldn't lose any more weight), came freaking 0.5 pound over and LOST THE BELT because of it, despite the fact that he's clearly the best lightweight on Earth. Also, he had to make weight in the back the day prior, why else would he tweet that weight's in check? All that being said, for him to still come out swinging, seemingly unaffected, putting on an absolute show and making Gaethje quit in there, Oliveira is such a special human being and he deserves all the best in life
I’ve never found myself agreeing with Ariel as much as this. It’s absolutely disgusting that Oliveira lost his belt over half a pound. So much respect lost for Dana and UFC here
Disgusting is a dirty ill willed mind corrupting protecting hiding and ignoring the illegal activity that had taken place at the weight scale . It's confirmed the scale was .5 heavy and had been tampered with . There is a weight scale security guard now watch the video above Einstein . 🤣🤡 Btw that's a company error and should be rectified or it on a honest moraled man's Libra scales leans on -was apart of it or covering it- what's disgusting is you taken away a broke random little humans self built legacy and own legend out of whatever you secretly hold as a dormant hate in your subconsciousness ... What an ugly ugly soul you and those helping and supporting the cover up really are .. wow God bless you
Oliviera has suddenly become one of my all time favorites. This dude is getting hurt in all these title fights and having comebacks. I remember watching him get the snot beat out of him as a 23 year old featherweight against Frankie Edgar and now look at him, defending Edgar's old belt.

Well said man...I hve never seen another champ treated as poorly as Charles b4. It was so unnecessarily heavy handed, no one in history of mankind has truly earned their success more than this guy n this is how they treat him. Shameful
im not a woodley fan, But he was treated pretty bad, by fans and the UFC. Also, Dana even said he basically considers Charles as the champ, just that "they gotta have rules". So i dont really see the big deal here.
This is disgusting, Khabib pulled out of the Tony Ferg fight for “weight cutting complications” and was not stripped. Would you rather see the champ literally back down, or deliver a show the way Charles did.
well khabib used a loophole which is why he kept it but charles continued knowing what would happen if he stepped in the cage still got paid a cool mill so i dont think hes too fussed
when khabib pulled out for 'weight cutting complications' against Tony he was not even a champ at the time, conor was. It's unreal how much hate Khabib gets lol
Agree 100%. So disappointed in the UFC. It was humiliating for Charles having that done to him, as if he had committed a crime. He behaved like a true champion by keeping his head high and getting the job done in such an exciting fashion. He’s already a legend no matter what happens next.
@@flaviomaster2117 ele falou sobre todas as outras lutas em que as pesagens nem são feitas corretamente , e que o Charles deu má sorte de pegar alguém que quis pesar realmente. 1. He missed weight. If you should be disappointed in anyone its Charles. Nobody did it to him. He did it to himself. For the 6th time in his career. He has a history of not making weight. 2. He got paid ppv points which the ufc did not have to do according to the rules. So the ufc actually went out of their way to help Charles despite him missing weight. 3. All the other fighters made championship weight no problem. Grow up and take off the tin foil hat.
Hi Ariel, I´m so glad you bring up this argument. I also think it´s crazy to strip a well deserving champion (btw 3 title fights in 12 months) for 200 gramms. I think it´s just suicide for the company not protect his champion and provide different scale for the weight cut and for the weight in. Do you think they would have stripped Conor for 200 grams? The other ex. that you mentioned GPS, DC or Khabib, they were never stripped because the UFC protected their champions. And yes rules are rules, but you can fine an athlet, but let be honest 05 lb doesn´t not effect the performance of a fighter. Actually Justin had already gained 10 pounds whil Oliveira was attempting to lose that extra 05 lb
So thankful for this take. I am beyond tired of hearing "tHe ruLeS aRe tHe RuLeS!!" Give me a break, the guy just finished 3 top 5 guys in a row, decisively. He's the champion.
@@ronniemillsap Fighters rehydrate to 10-20 pounds more than the weight class weight by the day of the fight. Justin posted his weight 10 hours after his final weigh in, ehich was 165.5 pounds, not even on the fight day. These fighters don't even fight at the stipulated weight, so what's your point?
Arizona athletic commission says "no more than 24 hours and no less than 3 hours before the start of the event" (he weighed in 28 hours out). It also says you get 2 hours to cut (he was only given 1). It also says that if you are over 1 pound it will trigger those other contingencies (he was only half a pound over). He should fight that in court
sorry just wrote this above and saw that someone else had commented on it. At the very least if I am Charles I am suing the Arizona commissions for loss of earnings on that night and my next fight. As Ariel says the UFC have control of the belt and can give or take it for any reason so I dont think he can get the belt back.
My only problem with rose was after the fight she started saying “I’m the best” after a performance with no definitive rounds. If you don’t think your going to catch flack after that idk what to tell you.
I'm Brazilian and I don't speak English fluently but I understood perfectly what she said during the entrance to the fight and I laughed a lot because it was very strange 😂😂 it looked like a religion or prayer
She just says that bc shes an insecure little girl with confidence issues. She does this every fight to hype herself up and get past her constant anxiety and depression issues. Imo she should retire shes clearly not mentally stable enough to compete
Her interviews since are even worse, saying she was having a mental battle with herself to not be reckless and she heard Carla’s coaches saying she’s coming forward so she “refused to play her game” and thought since she won some mental battle she created in her own head she should’ve won, delusional af I’ll never bet on Rose again
My problem is this, he went away and came back and nothing changed. Knowing Charles, I know he went back and tried to make it right, I believe him 100%. Also, isn't it crazy that no one was underweight? In my 9 years of following the sport, this is a first
Imagine squeezing a wet towel as hard as you can to remove all the moisture out of it. And then imagine coming back to that towel an hour later to try to squeeze again. After Charles was done cutting and came back to try again, almost all the moisture was already gone and it's almost impossible on the body and mind trying to cut more water weight at that point
But that's the thing if he went back and tried to make it he would of. DC who has had a life time of cutting and has to cut his wrestlers even said, it's a mental battle but 30 minutes in the bath and he will have that off. I truly believe he went back weighed himself in the room and was 155 and thought he would just wait the hour because he also looked no different.
Ariel Helwani is truly a gem to the sport, he tells it like it is. Contrast to other journalists, especially sports journalists who are too afraid, or pc to speak up
Agreed. But he’s always frustrated by the corrupt nature of Dana and the UFC. He doesn’t accept the fact that the UFC will always be corrupt with Dana at the helm. He thinks he can change Dana by exposing him. Pressuring him. Narcissists don’t change.
You are delusional to side with Ariel. It's the 155 pound championship, not the 155.5 championship. Ariel is a true scum bag of the sport, because he would have made a video criticizing the UFC if they let Charles continue as champion after missing weight. You are too stupid to see how much he hates Dana and the UFC 🤡
Thank you Ariel for your honesty. I completely agree with you, Charles was ripped off. I feel bad for him if he doesn’t receive the same pay scale for his next fight. He’s worth so much more and I want him to get paid, he’s earned it. I want him to see him destroy all these other fighters. Thank God he shut Justin and his big mouth up! 🇧🇷
My problem with that situation was and as a highly competitive wrestler for many years, not only did Tony jump up and down on the scale but the idiot reading the scale not only didn’t let the scale settle properly but was manhandling it back-and-forth like I’ve never seen. After witnessing that display and then much later hearing that they had an alternate scale that was reading light. Totally unacceptable at the USC level. Charles‘s team should’ve probably made them re-calibrate and ship possibly sue for damages. It looks more like a Vince McMahon production
Love how prior to the fight everyone forgot that Justin QUIT when Khabib rung his neck as well... I like Justin, great fighter much respect but that was a big L comment from him calling Charles a quitter... the fact that he then got choked out and "quit" is the ultimate irony.. hopefully he learns
I agree with your comment. I've always liked.Justin but after hearing that comment and he also said he will break Oliveira. Sheesh. I lost respect right there. His over confidence took on a cockiness unseen in Justin before.
100% agree. His team should have filed a formal protest with the sanctioning athletic commission, that would have forced an investigation and the commission to address the scale controversy.
they surely will, I watched this interview with Charle's coach in Brazilian Portuguese. He said the commission warned the fighters the scale they'd been using during the week was uncalibrated but no one said anything to Charles'' team. And I watched this interview with Charles, he said Justin's coach was part of commission. That's what Charles said, I don't if he knows what he was talking about, until what extent is true but said exactly that.
I remember being in Milwaukee back in 2018 and seeing Charles submit Jim Miller. I had no idea of the run he would go on, and he has become the most entertaining fighter to watch in the sport, PERIOD.
The guy at the scale was trying to be precise. Generally if someone is to weigh in at 171, the guy places it at 171 and if he sees the scale dropping down, he roughly calls in at 171. This guy would be checking 170.5 and if the scale got static, he called it 170.5. He did that with heavyweights as well.
Dana's not going to give him the belt. Right after the fight, Charles jumped the fence and went up to Dana saying "I'm the champ" and Dana said "no, you missed weight. You're the number one contender"
Spot on Ariel. The fact that Dana says they will have security at the back scales from now on is admitting liability! In other words they know that scale tampering actually transpired. And the UFC is responsible to make sure this NEVER happens. So give Charles his belt back now dammit.
No it’s not, there’s an accusation of tampering and now they’ve put an insurance policy in place to reduce future risk of lawsuit, I would do the same, it isn’t an admission of anything.
Youre all a bunch of dorks. Its called publicity. Nothing was wrong with the scales. Plenty of ppl made weight. Charles missed weight. Youre pathetic trying to make excuses
Simple solution: If there's been talk of a faulty scale, then just to be sure if there's, say, a championship on the line, bring out another scale. If both scales say the same thing, OK. All the UFC had to do was get another scale, and see if Oliveira was overweight on that scale too. This was Oliveira's title on the line. Use your heads, people.
You didn't understand. The scale that was uncalibrated was the one they were using during the week, Dana said at the press conference Europeans fighters changed it to KG instead of lbs, and he will put security watching the scales now. Also, in a interview Charles coach said the commission warned the others fighter within time to cut more weight and no one said anything to Charles'' team
What the hell did you see in this fight that you never saw in his last 10 fights? Olivera is absolute quality and it makes you look a bit strange saying that you wasn’t convinced until this fight
I think everyone was questioning his motivation following the fiasco but seeing how he came out really put guys on notice if that doesn't shake him then he's more of a problem than they thought. respect the mindset
No lie man, I was rooting for Charles but when I saw him on the scale after he his second cut he looked on the verge of death. I began to think Gaethje would KO him. This man keeps surprising me and I'm here for it. What an entertaining career he's had, absolute legend.
Imagine Ariel saying all this or even a 10th of his rant to Dana at the post fight press conference lol. Thank you for always speaking on topics many other journalist & reporters won’t touch.
This is why Ariel is the best journalist in the business. I love when you speak facts, you laid it out perfectly. I bet if it was Connor, Khabib or chandler we wouldn't be talking about this right now. Rules are rules but after the scale conspiracy they should of done an investigation or let 1/2 pound slide. They did charles dirty. Ariel you the man keep doing what you do.
If Olives wants to be loved as a great champion, he has to learn English. I know, that seems dumb, but its just a fact. If you want to be loved by the fans, you have to talk to them in a language they understand. Having said that, his new phrase is a total killer... 'The champion has a name...' That was a work of genius :)
There a lot sequence of things that upset me about Charles Oliveira be striped away from the belt. 1st - How can a fighter measure his own weight? By scale. For the week Charles had been used UFC scale to measure his weight. On Thursday he made weight. 2nd - On Friday some athletes, not all, not Charles Oliveira team, was warned about calibration on scale. Very strange, one of the athletes of the main event is not warned about scale recalibration. 3rd - Charles told in many interviews that he drank and ate nothing from Thursday to Friday before oficial weight in. Charles told that he usually lost from 300 grams to 700 grams while he sleeps. They measured the same weight with clothes and naked, on the second weight in they measured the same thing. Detail Charles went to his room and did sauna and gauntlet to lose some weight. If you examine his picture and look to his arms and face you notably see he was skinnier.
You are so right. This was done by UFC to keep the extra money with themselves. Only UFC favours from this, not even Gaethje. I doubt tho, that thay would have done the same thing with Gaethje because they were promoting him like crazy.
Remember when Jon Jones failed the drug test and they move the whole event to a new venue. UFC definitely treat people differently. And you have to ask what if it is Conor missed weight, are they going to strip the belt?
Sincere and absolutely necessary video. Thanks. Charles is the champion and the scale was in trouble. Otherwise Dana wouldn't consider changing the method for the next events.
The UFC coming out and saying they will hire a security guard for the scales now is admitting something went wrong. They have too big of an ego to backflip or investigate the issue after they made a snap call to strip the champ, which was the wrong decision. If it was a US Champion or Conor McGregor they wouldn’t of stripped him. Charles is the champ!
If you accused my company of allowing tampering to happen I'd put someone there to make sure it doesn't happen. It's not admission of guilt. It's a minimum wage guy vs going to court against people who claim tampering in the future.
@@sea2959 you'd complain either way lol if they did nothing you'd say they don't care about people messing with a scale. Truth is every single pro foghter should have their own commercial scale. I'm an amateur and I have one
Charles is the undisputed Champion and everyone knows it. That being said "letting championship fighters miss weight (don't matter how much) sets a bad precedent...so idk how I feel about this"
They should use digital scales. Or at least show the audience proof that the scales are accurate. An easy way to do so would be to place a 15 pound dumbbell on the scale and see what the scale reads before letting people weigh in. Charles is my favorite fighter followed by chito vera because they’re moderately sized fighters. They aren’t making weight and then putting on 20-30 pounds for fight night. Oliveira decimated Porier and Gaethje with the knees to the body.
No one is saying that, but 0.5lb is a joke on a manual scale with human error. If anything it was a disadvantage, because Gaethje was back to 165lb while Charles was still cutting weight. I think Champ fights should also get the 1lb allowance personally, it's weird that everyone else in the weight class gets that apart from the Champ.
I’m just still astounded Charles Oliveira is in the position he’s in. Was in the UFC since he was 20! And nobody saw THIS potential in him. I hate that he was stripped, but the whole situation plus him destroying Gaethje after getting dropped twice makes him even greater! He still feels like champion to me.
Nah a lot of people saw the potential in him, he just got derailed multiple times. Pettis loss was a big derailment, Holloway too as they were headlining that night in Canada. He's always had the potential and even the UFC recognized it early, but he missed weight and pulled out of multiple fights due to weight cutting issues. This isn't a new problem with him.
@@stevenfernandez7833 Man agaisnt Holloway he didn't got derailled he had a HUGE Problem. He stayyed paralyzed on a side of his body for 1 or 2 weeks. I mean he could have never come back from this injury.
@@Lolife86 That is true but everything else he said was true also. For years Charles was unable to win the big fight even though the potential was there for him to do it. Making weight at 145 was a big challenge as well, as he was too big for the weight-class. Something must have switched in him mentally after the birth of his daughter where he carries a newfound confidence in his abilities where all of a sudden he's become an entirely different fighter now.

Charles isn’t a huge draw here in US , that should answer all the questions. Maybe ufc wanted justin to have a advantage? Now Dana said he wants Islam to fight him and jump over ppl cause he knows Charles ground game is on a different level so he wants to throw someone with elite ground game at him. They want to give the belt to a bigger draw , THEY ALWAYS DO
How is a guy who delivers amazing fights not popular in the US? Just because you don't speak English? Will it be that after this fight everything hasn't changed?

On a beam scale they should set it at 1:55 and if it does not touch on the heavy end they're all good. Disqualifying someone for being .5lb over on a beam scale is a joke
There’s guys that stayed with belts for a year and haven’t vacated, Charles misses weight and still fights in 4 months .5 and has to vacate the belt is just crazy
Man I been feeling that since Friday. They did him dirty and dana ain't got his back and nobody does. They want him gone because he does t represent what Connor or masvidal does when it comes to ppv. I feel bad for the guy because he's the hardest and most deserving fighter for that belt.
People need to keep in mind the amount of fighters that noticed or thought it was 0.5 lbs off during THIS particular event. Of course this argument Ariel is making won’t be applicable to every fighter that misses weight at any event. Given the circumstances, I agree with him here.
Bro Ariel is the type of weasel that would make a video criticizing the UFC if they let Charles continue as champion despite missing weight. i think the shorts part is very shady. From the first weigh in, we know that the shorts weighed 0.5 pounds (156 to 155.5 after he took them off). In the second weigh in, he weighed in at 155.5 and the scale didn't move after he removed them. We know that beam scales are susceptible to human error. Whether this was intended or not by the scale operator, something is definitely off here.
The great thing is that Charles was able to overcome that pre-fight setback to get the victory and maintain his championship status with an amazing performance.
charles is an inspiration to me since the way he handled himself in this diversity/weight cut incident! I think it was only a positive reinforcement for his career and fans. Also i cant feel for Gaethje because he never seemed humble enough and never talked about his weaknesses.
My issue as you mentioned, is the lack of consistency between events. It shows a lack of professionalism by the ufc. After all these years why have they not fixed the weigh in issues.
Ariel you are a smart man ✌🏼 You always speak nothing but the truth. I started loving you from the way you showed you’re a professional when you had BOBBY GREEN OVER👍🏼
Areil I'm with You bro... he should of had that Strap around his waste. He weighed Championships weigh day of, now there is security involved... I am determined that scale ⚖️ give the man his Belt back....
Silver lining for Charles is that you can't call him a quitter anymore, knowing your not going to get the belt no matter what and destroying your body for that last .5 proves that he's evolved past what he once was.
Man I really love Ariel, his a very smart fellow, bold, professional, well educated, knows how to speak under pressure and his been treated incorrectly by many just because his is so Good, his constantly taken wrong, obviously underrated you Have my Respect Sr
It's also very illogical how in the books Charles is the one who was over the weight limit (had weight advantage), yet Geathje put up a photo where he was allready at 165lbs while Oliveira was still trying to make the cut, so reality is Geathje is the one who had the weight advantage. For the record I'm not saying Geathje did something wrong, he obviously didn't, he made weight at the time, I'm just pointing out how it kinda doesn't make sense to say Oliveira had the weight advantage and I'm also trying to shed light on how little sense the weigh in rules make...
Charles being 'stripped' is nothing but a way to make a cash cow out of him. UFC knows that even though he is the champ, he is currently not a huge PPV draw. McGregor is due back and will fight for a belt. If McGregor and Oliveira fight for the vacant belt and Oliveira wins (which of course he will) he will become the biggest cash cow in history for the UFC and will become THE fight fan favourite overnight and be crowned the ultimate legend. If by some miracle McGregor wins, well, his UFC cash cow status will be on a whole renewed level.. Win Win for UFC
I'm so pleased that Ariel brought this up. It seemed to be slipping by everyone else as if nothing happened. Good thing for the fighters that they have Ariel on their side because doesn't seem like many other people are.
The UFC needs to start treating their fighters fairly. It’s getting to a point where the UFC’s actions are getting too ridiculous. First underpaying them, now taking their titles away for bs reasons smh. Not a good look at all.
I understand when it's a contract you have to have some rules/obligations to fullfil to make weight. But it's kinda pointless in the sense that they never fight at the contract weight or what they weigh in at. You have Justin at 155 but after making weight he's back to 165-170 same as Charles. So they never really fight at contact weight. They fight at whatever weight they come in at on fight night

Sincere and absolutely necessary video. Thanks. Charles is the champion and the scale was in trouble. Otherwise Dana wouldn't consider changing the method for the next events.
The UFC coming out and saying they will hire a security guard for the scales now is admitting something went wrong. I think Champ fights should also get the 1lb allowance personally, it's weird that everyone else in the weight class gets that apart from the Champ.
@@Neil-qg9cw Ya, u also make an excellent point
They should make a point of title fighters weighing in first and not until the last 5 minute window to avoid situations like this
Ariels figures are freakin dope you can depict who each one is its so perfect.
@@stevenfernandez7833 his aura is rightfully SO powerful right now that people forget about his past.
This is one of your best conversations you’ve ever had on your show that I witnessed. Thank you
Ariel and DC was the best combination of all time. Please bring it back!
Please! Please! Please!
2 genuine guys with logical conversation and pro wrestling gossips and references. Listening to them, It always felt like I am listening to my best friend talking about what I want to talk about, which was truth, fact, logic, pro wrestling, Mixed martial arts!
They will in future, InshaAllah!
All Facts!!!! I believe they meant to screw him because they didn’t make it right! Respect to Charles he is a Legend & Champion with or without the belt! 🏆
I disagree with Ariel on issues here and there but he’s 100% right on this. I agree.
Who r u tho
I agree with Ariel on every issue he's ever spoken about, except for this. So now what do we do?
Also on the whole scale conspiracy, Charles said in an interview in Portuguese that not him or his team were warned that the ufc scales were off, while other fighters were prior to the weigh-ins.
With all of that going against him, Charles was still able to put an impressive performance. Impressive
They want to give the belt to a bigger draw , THEY ALWAYS DO
Islam is not a bigger draw then Charles
Charles has twice the amount of followers as GayG and has sold more ppvs in total than GayG as well
How is a guy who delivers amazing fights not popular in the US? Just because you don't speak English? Will it be that after this fight everything hasn't changed?
@@gleivisonpinheiro7536 leave that guy be he's a casual bum who probably hasn't heard of Anderson Silva or Wanderei or other big Brazilian stars
@@nihilistdurden5559 😂
💯% with you. That's what they want take him out and he doesn't deserve that he works hard. Truly champion #1 Charles Oliveira and they don't respect that. I'm 💯% Oliveira is the champ no matter what people say 💪🙏
Charles'' coach said in a interview the commission told the fighter the scale was uncalibrated but absolute no one told Charles'' team at all.
Bro Ariel is the type of weasel that would make a video criticizing the UFC if they let Charles continue as champion despite missing weight. That's what of a biased journalist he is because of his hatred to the UFC. It's the 155 pound title, not the 155.5 pound title, please don't fall for this weasel's tricks to hate on the UFC.
@@keithmma7750 I formed my opinion on the situation before seeing Ariel speak on it. While I disagree, I do completely understand your position on it... and by the books - you are completely right!
Also, your comment was hilarious haha
People don't even talk about the fact that Charles is stuck on 1 title defence. He is missing out on potentially 2 more
Dana didn't want him to beat khabibs title Defense
@@nnamdiasomougha3587 i doubt khabib actually cares if not even be happy for Charles if Dana somehow cares then he is just being insane
@@zico82495 that's not the point , he doesn't want some guy who cant sell ppvs or let alone speak English to beat the well known khabibs record
@@nnamdiasomougha3587 khabibs well known, people won’t forget him the way we won’t forget many memorable fighters or fights. And for sure Charles won’t be forgotten either, ofcourse if he spoke English that would take him to another level. But he is doing what he has to do and a true ufc fan would appreciate a fighter for he has accomplished the right way a clean way not cheating he way to greatness and Charles is definitely a great example for people
@@zico82495 you're not the sharpest tool in the shed are ya? Dana isint trying to please the hardcore fan anymore , he cant convince some casual that charles, the non ppv seller is better then his precious khabib it's all about money kid
i think the shorts part is very shady.
It was unfortunate but I think this whole drama just adds to how great Charles Olivera is
charles is an inspiration to me since the way he handled himself in this diversity/weight cut incident!
Ariel you are a smart man ✌🏼
You always speak nothing but the truth.
If it happened before and the UFC didnt do anything then definitely Charles is ripped!
That I do agree with. But other than that I thing the punishment was fair.
Much respect Ariel, you are the definition of MMA! Love listening to your views, straight up pro! Love all the way from the Middle East!
Hell yes Ariel, thank you from ALL Brazilians
Silver lining for Charles is that you can't call him a quitter anymore, knowing your not going to get the belt no matter what and destroying your body for that last .5 proves that he's evolved past what he once was.
Man I really love Ariel, his a very smart fellow, bold, professional, well educated, knows how to speak under pressure and his been treated incorrectly by many just because his is so Good, his constantly taken wrong, obviously underrated
you Have my Respect Sr
It's also very illogical how in the books Charles is the one who was over the weight limit (had weight advantage), yet Geathje put up a photo where he was allready at 165lbs while Oliveira was still trying to make the cut, so reality is Geathje is the one who had the weight advantage. For the record I'm not saying Geathje did something wrong, he obviously didn't, he made weight at the time, I'm just pointing out how it kinda doesn't make sense to say Oliveira had the weight advantage and I'm also trying to shed light on how little sense the weigh in rules make...
I usually can’t stand this guy but today, TODAY THIS MAN IS SPEAKING FACTS!!
Lol no Heelwani always speaks facts it's you that must have the problem 🤣🤪
Thank you for this video and the courage to speak out. I didn't even think about it like that, but you kinda changed my perspective.
I agree completely Ariel! Not to mention that Charles saved the card after that terrible Co-Main event
breaking news: Gaethje's couch was caught/dealing with the commission while Charles team hadn't been even noticed about the whole thing.
This happening to him is great for his career and brought a lot of attention to him that he otherwise wouldn’t have got
Couldn’t agree more! Thank you for saying exactly how I am feeling towards this past weekend!
When machida used to fight
His corner would say the same thing
" let them boo you are doing the right thing "
And he would put opponents to sleep
1000% Ariel.. thanks so much for voicing this. This video made my week. Oliveira was wronged. This whole situation is blasphemy
The rest work with espn or directly ufc. They don't have the brass ones to voice wut they truly believe.
The UFC needs to start treating their fighters fairly. It’s getting to a point where the UFC’s actions are getting too ridiculous. First underpaying them, now taking their titles away for bs reasons smh. Not a good look at all.
Arenal has earned my respect 🙏 and the champion has a name and its Charles do Bronx
