Alright, Hapex. Round two of my critiques, are you ready? Lol. I’ve noticed a lot of the things I mentioned in your 98 video have been corrected, so I wonder if I was the direct influence of that. Anyway, here we go: Sting barely wrestled in 97, but I’d say since you have the Scorpion Death Drop as his finisher in 98, I’d make it the Scorpion Deathlock in 97, but if I’m not mistaken, the can make the wrestlers have two finishers, right? Chris Jericho now doing the Liontamer, good. Ernest Miller changed the Feliner to what you have here in 98, but before that it was a spinning roundhouse kick. Booker T with the Harlem Hangover, nice. Public Enemy is difficult because they almost always worked as a team, so they didn’t really have individual finishers, but they did both use a Powerbomb in the Drive By tag team finisher, so I’d call it good. Barbarian doing the Kick of Fear, sweet. Saturn mostly did the Death Valley Driver in 98, but before he shaved his head he was almost always doing the Rings of Saturn. Norman Smiley only wrestled once or twice in 97, so he probably shouldn’t be here, much like Vampiro in 98. Rick Steiner now doing the Diving Bulldog, fantastic. Greg Valentine is the Barry Horowitz of this video, buddy. Lmao. Moving on. La Parka should be doing the La Parkinator or the Skull Bomb. Fit Finlay doing the Celtic Knot, I think? I’ve personally never seen Finlay do this move as a finisher, so I’d still go with the Tombstone Piledriver. Chavo Guerrero Jr. doing a Diving DDT now, but that’s still not quite right. I don’t know if the game even has a Diving Tornado DDT, but that’s what it should be. Rey Mysterio Jr. with the West Coast Pop, great. Hollywood Hogan was definitely not wearing the feathery things on his shoulders in 97, as that was when he was “running for president” in 98. Scott Norton in 97 should be doing the Flashbreaker, and in 98, he’d be doing a Powerbomb. Mortis with the original Flatliner, that’s sick! Ultimo Dragon now doing the Dragon Sleeper, although not quite how he performed it. Still cool to see. Wrath was doing the Meltdown here in 98, but in 97, he was using the Death Penalty. Vincent, huh? I picture him more as a manager frankly. Lol. Scott Steiner pulling out the Steiner Screwdriver?! That’s amazing. That was a very rare occurrence though; I’d probably go with the Frankensteiner. Disco Inferno wasn’t really doing the Chartbuster until 98, in 97 he was doing a Pulling Piledriver. Syxx should be doing the Buzzkiller for his finisher. Van Hammer is looking way too thick. Lmao. Whew, that was a lot, sorry. Finally, notable missing wrestlers: Chris Benoit again (but for obvious reasons), Arn Anderson (because if you’re including Kevin Sullivan, you might as well include Arn, as they stopped right around the same time), Prince Iaukea, Scotty Riggs, Mike Enos, and Kenny Kaos. Again, great compilation, man. It looks amazing.

I think he’s great, loved the Dog Collar match with Piper from 83’, so included him as a tribute haha. Truthfully I’ve never watched a La Parka match so I was totally new to him, tried to find a reference to La Parkinator, but I could only seem to find him doing a spear strangely. For Vincent, again I just decided to throw him in the mix haha. For Scott Steiner I seen him do it in a match against a team in 97’ can’t remember who the opponents were. Van Hammer be looking swole haha. Yeah finishers are something I find difficult to get right in relation to WCW, unless you know the company as well as you do haha. This Sunday it’s WWE 2004, so I’ll be returning to WCW with 1996 in a few weeks. I forgot about Arn to be fair, and for those other names you mentioned I’m familiar with some but not all, I check the Smackdown Hotel website for my research and they mentioned Arn, but not the others - so unlikely I’d have come across those names. Oh also forgot to say that for Chavo I looked for a tornado DDT but there wasn’t one unfortunately! Not one on the turnbuckle anyways, so had to settle for this one, there’s a slight rotation in the move but not enough to call it a tornado haha

As for references to use, Smackdown Hotel isn't really the best, but it usually does have more pictures if nothing else. I always used cagematch, iwdb, or wrestlingdata for my results info (each of those has actual pages for wrestlers as well though), but for the actual finishers and seeing them in action, it's surprisingly hard to find some videos of a lot of wrestlers without having that extensive watch time that I do.
