Author, Dr. Chad Williams of Brandeis University, presents a lecture entitled “Torchbearers of Democracy: African American Soldiers in the World War I Era” based on his award-winning book of the same name. The event was co-sponsored by the history program at Park University and is part of the university’s annual Spencer Cave Black History Month Lecture series.
