Takumi's 'wings' are him manifesting his self-generated plot armor. There are real drivers that do this, they're just incredibly rare.

@@shakld doesn't change the fact that revving was the cause of his engine blowing, it doesn't take long to over rev a car which is why most cars have a rev limiter now
