As somebody with no context for this show, seeing the main character appear three times in quick succession, then have an actually new person pop up, and then the first girl basically shoves him out of frame like "BITCH THIS IS MY SHOW" is pretty funny
One of the best animes ever made if you're able to hunt down the DVDs. She's a treasure hunting witch that gathers a band of misfits one piece style but has serious and funny moments too. It's a great show

Damn, did not expect to stumble upon someone mentioning it being shown on Polish TV 😃 I'm Lithuanian, but my mother is Polish and we had a few Polish channels on the TV, so ~10 old me stumbled upon this gem (I think it was Polonia 7 channel?) and loved it even though I did not understand half of the words lol
I discovered this show when I was 11 years old when I saw a box set at my local FYE store and I've loved it ever since. I love the Lord of the Rings/Dungeons & Dragons inspired world, the hillarious slapstick comedy, the genuine heartfelt moments and loveable yet flawed characters and the sense of wonder this show brings. Also you can laugh if you want, but I had a crush on Lina when I was a kid lmao

It's worse when you consider, "What could have been." Back in the 90's, Rupert Murdoch of Fox purchased the TV airing rights for Slayers... just so no other network could use it against them. He wanted all the focus on things like Yu-Gi-Oh and other anime based on collectibles. Because of Fox, Slayers was denied being part of your American Television experience. It could've been so hyped in the 90's and made anime that much more popular. And for the record, Murdoch did this "Ranma 1/2" and "Magic Knight Rayearth" as well.

This anime was not even on my top 10 as a kid. Now re-hearing the OP i felt like I was back there in the early 2000s with my little brother, watching the Mangas channel😢

Really so many animes I didn't liked on the manga channel, but I kept watching them because was just one channel with anime and just few hours a day ( at 22 pm or 24 , another channel would override manga channel). Somehow, I started liking these animes I didn't liked in the beginning. Now they are really special to me
Never watch this one but the only anime adaptation of Hajime Kanzaka's work that I know is Lost Universe. It seems Hayashibara sings the OP everytime Kanzaka's novels get adapted.

This anime was not even on my top 10 as a kid. Now re-hearing the OP i felt like I was back there in the early 2000s with my little brother, watching the Mangas channel😢
Glad to see others people who have watched Mangas , This channel is a reason why I love french and old anime too bad most people these days only love new anime personally I love both new and old anime

Really so many animes I didn't liked on the manga channel, but I kept watching them because was just one channel with anime and just few hours a day ( at 22 pm or 24 , another channel would override manga channel).
Somehow, I started liking these animes I didn't liked in the beginning. Now they are really special to me

Never watch this one but the only anime adaptation of Hajime Kanzaka's work that I know is Lost Universe. It seems Hayashibara sings the OP everytime Kanzaka's novels get adapted.

Great song for a great opening for a great anime. Question: Does anybody know songs like this? I mean, duets like Megumi Hayashibara and Masami Okui, or Masami Okui and Chihiro Yonekura? Thes are really good ones.
