Great reading. I finished Claire Keegan's Small Things like these, with its glimmer of the Magdalen laundries. My Mum spent a number of years in the laundries with the Magdalen sisters. She didn't speak a lot about it. Made me sad that young girls and women were badly treated. 😢
the cover of come and get it is very striking!! i keep noticing in the bookstores! i loved my husband!! its so much fun, one of my fav reads from last year
My favourite read for February was This is How You Lose the Time War, it's very short which makes for a nice tub read as well, lol! The story just dumps you into the action with no explanation so it takes a little time to adjust but after that I couldn't get enough of it, wish it had gone on for another two hundred pages. I also enjoyed The Birdcage by Eve Chase, more for it's atmosphere, story about sisters and amazing prose. DNF'd The Fury though, - I found the narrator annoying and you're going to break the fourth wall you have to do it very cleverly.

Yay! So glad you enjoyed Homegoing as much as I did. It’s truly been my most recommended book as of late.

Man, the real life story about Dan Mallory (AJ finn) is WILD - have you read the New Yorker article about him?????
