Thanks Tony for another great video. I won’t be starting any seeds here in zone 6b SWMO until probably March. Good luck and happy gardening.

Pro mix bails have doubled in price. I've had to change up as well.

Yes, there are pretty expensive. Part of the reason to try other brands. Thanks for watching.

Will these trays be used for planting other vegetable seeds and greens? thanks

Most folks I watch, get the soil nice and moist before filling the cells. Watering the soil so it holds together a bit. Great video. Thank you.

You are correct. We always wet our soil but we failed to mention it in our video. Thank you for input and watching .

I have trouble removing the seedling plugs from those thin seed starters. How do you do it without damaging them and the seedlings? thanks

The trick with getting them to slip out is a couple of things. First transplant at the stage where roots are just starting to show coming out of the bottom of the plug. If you raise them on to a point where a large root mass has grown through the bottom you've got to remove the excess roots and it will set the plants back a bit. Second, before transplant I prepare a container in which will hold enough water so that I can immerse the entire 1020 tray with water and a handful of leaf mold soil. This mixture helps inoculate the plants with good soil biology and such that this water mixture can cover the six pack of plants just over the top of the soil. I soak these for 3-5 minutes, remove and let drain for a few minutes. After that the plants just slip out of the six packs and rarely stick.

@@BareMtnFarm Request that be included in the transplanting video. Would soaking in JMS water serve the same purpose? thanks
