I recommend going without the gunpods, the performance difference is insignificant in this game, but the challenge of using just the 30mm, very satisfying. You start counting how many rounds you used per kill. I really enjoy it. Man I love the K-4.
In real life, the BF-109K-4 is the fastest but heaviest variant of the BF-109s and it is considered the least maneuverable. Its top speed at best is around 450MPH. Many pilots of the "Kurfurst" did not like the heaviness of its handling because of its weight, especially if equipped with the 20mm MG151 cannon pods, compared to the "Gustav" BF-109 variants. So many pilots considered not equipping the cannon pods to reduce weight and not worsen its maneuverability. Also the 30mm MK108 cannon in the nose only hold around 60 rounds. So that leaves only the twin 13mm MG131 machine guns when the 30mm runs out of ammo, which holds, I believe, around 300 rounds. The best way to fly the "Kurfurst" is to do Boom & Zoom tactics as it is not really a good dog fighter compared to its "Gustav" variants.

However, they only saw service during the last months of the European Theater in 1945, and at that time many of them were piloted by inexperienced pilots as Germany was losing the war and lost many of their experienced pilots. Same issue the Japanese had during the later parts of WW2.

Lol, p51 still outturns all the 109s and has better overall MER. 109k is great if you can get the first turn shot off. After that it's over if your facing a pilot who knows how to use the p51D.

Honestly, I only bring 60% of fuel on my P-51 for Hamburg. It's enough for a trip to and from Hamburg and a few quick dogfights.

Recently bought the me-262 and i’m a bit disappointed. I expected more from it and i will say the K4 is better in every way other than diving.
Eh me262 still fun and better against bombers. Speed buff makes it a little more viable and I’m sure the g10 and k4 will get nerfed eventually
