One question, at 6:57 you say in order to shift to the drop 2 voicing, you have to switch the major 3rd to a flat 3. I’m confused as this time drop 2 requires a shift of major third down a semi tone rather than down an octave? Or am I misunderstanding what happened…most likely it’s the latter lol.

Sadly I can't stretch much farther than an octave so I usually break up these drop 2 voicings between 2 hands. Great info though
