So I read a lot of theses and it seems everyone is having a difficult time landing the light punches after the butter gun. Lemme first say sweet combo video seeing this video really helped me out out understanding the fundamentals of this combo, so thanks on helping me learn my first doom infinite! Ok ok so I practiced this shit for probably on average of couple hours a day analyzing all the movements and for the life of me could not land those light punches for shit. So I started hitting the LPs after the butter gun at all different times to see when to connect it and I found out the secret, ok so right after the butter gun, remember has the hit 3 times, if your opponent flip resets out of the combo you did the light punches to fast try slowing it down, hit the LP rapid fire at the last possible second and this should get you on the way. If you hit the LP to fast your opponent well reset if you do it late doom and your opponent Will fall to the ground, I figuerd I'd rather be doing the LPs to late than to early because this way id have more of a chance at landing it vs getting a reset so good luck

I've been practicing for some days now and I have made good progress but I'm stuck on the plasma beam variation It's the part where you do the butter gun into that first rep and once I do the rep ad reach to the part were in supposed to do the L beam again I get a standing jab like am I waiting too long to jab or should I have been getting ready to jab before he even gets off the beam juggle
Hey Con. First off, thanks for the tutorial, it's been a great help so far. I've learned the beginning of every combo in this video, but I always have trouble on proper timing for the "m & m's." He's always too close when I do the buttergun, and I don't get the soft knockdown needed. And, if I do connect, I usually have trouble connecting the jumping light to the buttergun due to it coming out as a standing light. Any tips? I landed it once, got hype so I dropped the combo (lmao), then basically never landed it again. Thanks for the videos, keep up the good work. (:
For the down TAC, I can’t get the J.LL to connect off of the falling L from the H to start repping again. I’m pressing it just fine but the second light won’t connect after I jump with the first light. Any suggestions?

There are 2 big things it could be. Either you're hitting the first j.L (while landing) too early or you're not hitting the second j.L (while rising) early enough. You could also be doing both, but if they flip out before the second jL it's the former, if they flip out after the 2nd jL connects its the latter.

Yes, just hold up and tap L twice on the way up. Although the timing may look strict, I dont think it really is. Because of the small amount of time you have to hit the L after the gun, you can practically mash L without any consequence, and then on the way up tap it twice as soon as you leave the ground.

I mean when Doom and the other character are about to hit the ground, I see him use Buttergun and then like air walk back up the character while comboing? I see it used all the time with Doom, Magneto, Morrigan and they all seem to be characters with the FLY ability, just wondering how that is done. - Also I have not been playing Marvel very long but im learning fast, just a few more questions. j.LLM(2), I understand this as jump, light, light, med, med? Why is it LL and M2 instead of L(2) M(2) or LL, MM? What is the difference when comboing. ALso what is ADUF? and M214S? Med-?-?-?-Special. Im getting lost :(
well for magneto you have to do j.H air dash forward j.L(fly cancel as quick as possible), j.H adf j.h adf j.h Adf = air dash forward for doom, it takes the rhythm and finding it to do his m&ms. just practice his flight cancels. you have to find your own swag with it bro xD but it shouldn't be too long. as many youtube vids as there is on here im sure youll find one to help you.
if you saw, in the description i explained some character have multi-hit normals (attacks like light/medium/heavy/special) and you can often control how many times you let the attack hit. M(2) is a medium attack that lasts for 2 hits. aduf = air dash up forward. if you look at your keyboard you should see a number pad with 9 letters, 3x3 keys, the numbers represent directions on this pad, 6 being forward, 8 being up, 2 being down, etc. yes, you were correct, when someone can activate flight during their combo it means they can extend their TAC combos by hitting as many attacks as the flight's duration will allow them.

The only problem that could cause that is poor timing on the falling jump L, the gap between falling jL and rejump jL, or the gap between the L-LM. All solved by being faster. If you have a twitter and are playing on a ps4/xb1, gameshare a clip of you messing it up and I'll narrow the possibilities down. @conmystro
When you say LLM and "the second L" which L am I supposed to think you're talking about? l - L - m or L- l - m? if you can't do the falling L and then rejump into LLM then the issue is either that you aren't close enough to the ground at the end of your flight, or that you aren't performing the rising jL as fast as possible. (the closer to the ground you are, the fewer frames of recovery doctor doom will be in after hitting them with it, so in the flight combo before the rejump make sure doctor doom travels as close to the bottom with that long air dash down).
@@Conmystro I finally got Mission 6 for Doom done last night. It was so hard. Took me 3 hours. It seems like MVC3 is way harder than MVC2. I stopped playing MVC2 in 2005. Got MVC3 for PC and I'm using a F310 Logitech Gamepad. Might try fightstick soon because it's insanely hard to have only 4 face buttons and have to use shoulder triggers for assists and dash. I might ask you again later when I try to do the moves in this video haha. Any recommendation on fightstick?
@@TraumaER Don't buy a fightstick if you've never played on one. The only reason people use them is because they came up playing in arcades so it came easier but if you're comfortable with a pad don't switch. MVC3 is honestly on the same level of execution as mvc2 at high level. All it is is practice. I map A1 to R1/RB and A2 to L1/LB, and L+M to R2/RT.

It's a commonly used notation formula in games with forward-forward inputs or diagonal inputs. You can use the number pad on your keyboard to visualize it. It's a lot easier to write 6H than forwardH and when you're making a combo video/list it helps out lol.

No, after you do H Doom should fall, and in the split second that he's falling you press L, jump, then L again and continue. Like Conmystro said in another comment; the timing seems strict but it really isn't. I hope I helped you, I'd be happy to try and answer any other questions :)

At some points during the tutorial portion, you'll see MM(2) or M(2)M, the Ms without a number next to them are just 1 hit.

that maximum beam one can be used to carry opponent to the corner so you can transfer to a different variation you are more comfortable with.

At 3.49 when I do the rejump after the first JL the enemy recovery, what I'm doing wrong?

you're either not low enough to the ground after buttergun or you're not jumping/inputting LL fast enough.
