    No way on God's green earth would I even TRY to make my way through a seemingly endless narrow tube in solid rock, deep under ground, squirming forward on my stomach. Yikes!

      yeah I'm with you on that one, I'm not claustrophobic or anything but, nope, no, no no..no fricken way ! the idea of being stuck in there, or some earthquake pinning you or whatever, and that young woman, to go head first into the unknown, oh hell that's just horrifying...

    Recently I have become enthralled over subterranean caves and tunnels. Turns out they're everywhere... And most are stupid old.
    And apparently it was the thing to do before the modern earthmovers

    Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
    Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
    Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
    Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
    Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
    Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
    Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
    Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

    This documentary did not get enough likes.
    This was GREAT! I'm glad he showed us, because I'd NEVER go in some of those underground places.🤣 Caves are cool, narrow caves are not cool.

    That tight section would have been the deal breaker for me. I'm good with crawling and hands and knees, but anything smaller and I get real claustrophobic real quick.

    Sad to see that no mention of the pit po ies for the slate mine. 1823 Era had no trains so ponies it was, they would have spent their interest lives down there before being slaughtered up top.

    Every time these historical sites are shown, one can see the atrocities mankind is able to commit in the name of power and dominion. One learns from history, yes, but the lessons are horrific and difficult to understand the minds behind it. Horrific!!!

    There are tunnels in my city of Portland OR that I have always wanted to see. They are all over downtown but a lot u don't see on the tour and most building that are old have entrances that are breaked up..... It said they were used for bootlegging and for some human trafficking way back when. I wanna see but on on the tour where they skip cool shit. I can't imagine all the things that have gone on down there or gone through there......

    Even in the bowels of the earth God is present with His handiwork
    Psalm 139:7-12
    New International Version
    7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
    8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
    9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
    10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.
    11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
    12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.

    Lame over 8 minutes in and nothing about a castle or dungeon.
