I did meth for 15 years bro. I started out normal. Only did that shit on crazy weekends. Eventually I was on it everyday for two years straight. I had this psychosis episode that I don't even want to describe, but it was 100% maximum fear. Lets put it that way. When I sobered up the fear was still there even though I was sober. It didn't go away for probably 6 months of sobriety. Ive been sober eversince, that was 3 years ago. There are parts of me that are ruined from all that. Until I experienced the fear there was no reason to stop. I thought I was at the bottom but I figured out there is no bottom. It gets more fucked up than you think it will get and will never stop.
I hope you can let that shit go for good. It takes a long time.
