- This channel is all about home gardening for beginners as well as some more advanced gardeners. How to start and plan your garden as well as starting of your own garden seeds. This channel is all about start to finish home gardening success. Today I put together a raised garden bed purchased from Sam's Club. I will use this for our Herbs this year! Come along and check out this easy to assemble raised garden. Enjoy!
Know whats cool Sir?
Im about to set mine up too; and we have the exact same weather and rain here in Des Moines. 😁
I was just searching to find different ideas in the way people do theirs. I watches these sell from $89, to $75, $68 and yesterday it was $56. I couldnt walk away from that. I will be using mine indoors.
I am not to worried about longevity, but seeing this being two years ago, how has yours held up?
Im going to use mine for a cactus garden, so i need to get creative in how i want to make a shelf inside. I really only need 6 to 7" soil max.
A bag of lava rock is much lighter than a bag of dirt, to maybe that would be best.
Anyways, thanks for your video. Its nice to watch a plain & straight forward video.
I just bought this! Thanks for this video!
Hope you enjoy it!
Hi, I am looking for some raised garden beds for my house too. I love the scenery where you are. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome!
Thank you!
Hi saw your video and saw this question...do your water at the bottom ...is there a fill line or do i just add soil...then water?...im very new at this...
Would have been nice to see an end of season video analysis
I saw this box today at Sam’s. Wanted to get it, but didn’t. Think I will get one.
The plastic box seems to be pretty strong. I don’t regret the purchase so far. Time will tell to see if it holds up well. Thanks for watching!
I have to disassemble one. Do the legs pull right off, or do they actually lock into position when you assembled it so they cannot be removed?
Sweet
Were you able to utilize it this season
Like you mentioned last thing I need is anutter project
Plus with the price of lumber
I have to see if I can get them where I live
Costco
What about the 4 plastic parts in the corner labeled as E?
We have the same question. They don’t need to be installed? Wondering their purpose.
I can’t figure out how to pull the drainage plug out 😅 is it supposed to stay in but pull out a bit? Or do you pull the plug out completely?
Yes it stays in place. It just pops out a little bit. Do not remove the plug.
@@weigtoutdoors4769 thanks finally got mine figured out ❤️🙏🙌
Did anything grow in this bed? I have two for two years and can't get anything to grow. Moved it around the yard, tried everything.
I grow herbs in mine and it works out well for me. It may be your soil. Pesticides are a big problem. Unfortunately we have to be very careful on our sources of soil and amendments.
I only use miracle grow moisture control soil, and miracle grow fertiliser...had no problems..in full sun
Hey! Looking to replace my current raised beds. How'd this hold up? Would you recommend this for planting things like peppers, cucumbers, and zucchini? Thanks!
No, I would not. I would use this for herbs only. Large plants that you spoke of would be a disaster I believe.
I grew ghost pepper, two tumbling tomatoes and herbs in mine, no problems...would not put in large tomatoes. Mine were meant for containers and they did well.
Lol… measurement right on front sticker. Something I would normally do though😂
How do you add water though?
Just add water to the soil the little flower will go up when full.
