    Great video. I was just at a presentation and now I know the salesman was misleading me . I did not by MAX but am a HGVC owner of 15 years plus. He never said anything about that. Question how do you book a diamond resort (MAX) property if you are a HGVC owner? Through RCI?

      RCi, or I often use Hilton Honors. The prices are often very reasonable, whether with points or cash, probably because they want to rope you into a presentation.

      As a HGVC owner, I supplement my vacation needs with free Hilton Honor points by attending owner meetings. Not going to upgrade to their diamond properties even when they say my Hilton Grand vacation choices will die and I’ll be stuck staying in my home unit.

    I wish I had seen this before it was too late but thank you anyway. I hope this helps others.

    Hey, so I have a question. So since I’m already at owner and I buy somebody else’s deed to get more points how does that work?

    In the presentation we had on 5/11 they called the newest system a trust which opens you up to hundreds more resorts if you buy in

      HGV Max isn't really a trust. It is an exchange company. If you are buying HVC points (really former Diamond Resorts points) then these are trust based. Any new purchase from Hilton Grand Vacations (HVC or HGVC) is enrolled in HGV Max and has access to the additional properties across the brands starting at 6 months out.

    Great info. Just to be clear, if I already have HGV Max, I could purchase more points on the resale market and still use my Max benefits?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  9 месяцев назад +1

      Based on my understanding, if you are already an HGV Max member and buy additional points resale, your existing points will still be Max eligible. I also understand, based on reports from others, those resale points should also be Max eligible. However, the points won't count toward the owner vip tiers. This is just based on my understanding and what others have stated, so YMMV.

    What Hilton property is great for exchange with RCI and reasonable maintenance fees.

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  9 месяцев назад

      Hilton Grand Vacations Club resorts really aren't ideal for exchanging with RCI. It is best used within the point system. You might be better to look at other resorts that trade within RCI. Not sure if you are looking for RCI Points or Weeks, but for points I know many people recommend Grandview and Vacation Village at Parkway.

      What would be the best properties to buy resale for great exchanges for interval.

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  9 месяцев назад

      @@jonthomas3900 There are a lot of great options. You need to decide if you want to trade into Marriott properties a lot. If you do, then buying a Marriott deeded week is a good option. Grand Chateau or Willow Ridge Lodge are good Marriott traders. Other good options are 4-bedroom lock offs at Vacation Village Williamsburg. I have even heard people say that Magic Tree resort in Orlando does okay and is a bargain trader. Though you won't be able to trade into Disney Vacation Club with that. Sheraton Desert Oasis can be a good option as it locks off into two one bedroom units that you can deposit. It is best for trading into other Sheraton and Westin resorts through Interval INternational.

    I am sorry but you are giving incorrect information in your video. There is no such thing as HGV Max points. Any purchase today, with in HGVC deeds or Diamond Trust will automatically be HGV Max. HGV Max is a program that allows Hilton owners to book Diamond resorts and Diamond owners to book Hilton resorts, at the 6 month mark, as you mentioned. However, you say, "Don't think you will be able to use them like the points you already own today." That is not completely true. If they buy Trust points, the points they purchase will be able to be used within the Collection they purchase in, at 13 months. They won't be able to use them with there current HGVC deed points until 6 months out, then they can combine them. You are correct in saying purchase resale HGVC deeds. The best part of HGV Max is being able to book both Diamond and Hilton properties. All other booking windows still apply. For the record, Hilton is trying to sell Diamond Trust to Hilton owners and if you own a Diamond Trust they are trying to sell Hilton deeds. BTW, I have owned Diamond since 2008 and made a decision to purchase whatever Hilton came up with, when they purchased Diamond. We have been HGV Max since March 2023 and have stayed at two Hilton properties and have Ocean Enclave booked for August in a one bedroom ocean front room.

      I am well aware that there is no such thing as HGV Max Points. That was the point I was trying to get across with this video but perhaps didn't make it clear enough. Also this video is meant for the HGVC owner going into a pitch. I have heard from plenty of HGVC owners that they were pitched something called HGV Max points by their salesperson. As a HGVC owner, they won't be able to use DRI points with their existing HGVC points until six months. Many probably buy thinking they will work all the same together..
      The whole point of the video was pointing out that Hilton is trying to sell Diamond trust points to HGVC owners under the disguise of "HGV Max Points".
      I am also not sure what you mean by the first sentence? "aren't giving incorrect info?" Does that mean it is correct information?

    • @OurJourney77
      @OurJourney77 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@DestinationTimeshare I corrected my misspelled "aren't." All sales now, with the exception of resale, are into HGV Max. During a presentation, the person is told what the windows are. However, I have found a lot of people don't understand exactly what you said, HGVC points and Trust points can be mixed until the 6 month window. I did watch your entire video and paused it when I thought some of your information was inaccurate. I've watched a lot of your videos and love your channel. I don't believe in mixing HGVC deeds with the Diamond Trust, but some HGVC owners want the 13 month booking window. For those people, I recommend purchasing at least 8500 points. Have a great day.
