These prep before a grocery trip videos are probably my favorite of all the types of videos you do. I just love the inspiration to follow along and check my entire home while I make my list. I always did something similar, but watching along reminds me to not skip things I might have overlooked. I also check expiration dates at the end of the month especially on condiments and cosmetics.
I have started really preparing for grocery shopping like you do. And this time, I have decided I can put off shopping for a week or two while I use up some things in my freezer. I am in a small apartment and don’t have much freezer space so I have to keep constantly rotating that stock. You’re really helping me get a grip on using what I have, restocking instead of just purchasing!
Hi You! Regarding the food saver, you can seal almost any bag. Coffee, chips, cereal, etc. Also wanted to let you know that I like the Amazon brand dishwasher tabs. I also use the amazon brand laundry pods. One more thing, I love the OXO salad spinner, it's perfect for washing lettuce, berries, tomatoes, everything. I just throw berries in there, fill with cold water and some white vinegar and let it soak. Also, I use it as a colander and it's the only colander I have so it saves space. you can drain a ton of pasta in there. Love ya Girl!
I keep a list on my fridge to add things thru out the month that I notice I'm getting low on. Thanks to you Meghan I now go thru my fridge, freezer, and cabinets before making my monthly Walmart pick up order. I order paper products and some cleaning items from Sam's and go to Costco ever couple of months to pick up thing that have become favorites. I find pick for the majority of my items saves me money because I'm not throwing extras into my cart. Do your kiddos like cinnamon, sugar toast, that would use up a big amount of the spice, we use brown sugar, with a little butter on top, yummy. Thanks for taking us along on these videos.
Hi Megan, my opinion about the vaccum sealer is the way you rotate thru your food so fast in a month I don't think you need one. Love your grocery shopping. Nola is adorable.
for cinnamon....add it to vanilla ice cream. you can also add it to virtually any dessert you make with ice cream - tarts, pies, etc. I also add it either stirred in with the filling or a graham cracker crust hen making peanut butter pie, but most think that is a bit weird. On savory side, I've stirred it in when roasting vegetables -- squash or sweet potatoes, obviously, but I also like it with brussels sprouts occasionally, and I really like cinnamon butter with roasted or ggrilled parsnips. I love cinnamon and once bought five pounds at once...and since I'm a single guy, I eventuallyended up trying it with anything and everything. depending on how you spice your chili, it can really perk the chili up without adding a lot of heat.
I love the way you do your prepping for the grocery haul monthly. I have learned to do the same. Thank you! Also, we never get stuck with no tp in the battoom. Which is a very good thing! 😊 Thanks again for sharing your oganizationsl skills. They save me both time and money.❤
Uncle Dan's ranch is 10 out of 10! Make it as a dip first with 1/2 Mayo and 1/2 sour cream to see if you like it. Yummy😊 You can thin it out for dressing by adding milk or buttermilk.
Hi Meghan and Markie my mom used to mix cinnamon with sugar and put it on buttered toast.yum!! Also she used to take pie crust and roll it out butter the crust sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar roll it back up and cut into small rolls or bite-size rolls bake according to pie crust directions. The best snack.Yum!! Lyatt Sandee from Ohio.💜💜🙏🤘😊
I love to try and make my list based on sections of the grocery store. Then also try to pack my bags home based on where things go ie pantry, fridge, freezer etc. Makes grocery shopping easier
Put the cinnamon in your granola before/after you make it. Also in your waffle batter - you can also chop an apple really small, or even stew it slightly first.
what I sometimes do it write the date on things when I open it, so I have an idea how long it lasts next time (f.e. big bottle oliveoil, garbage bags etc)
Yes for the dip Ranch one milk and mayo. For the Dill one I've always done mayo and sour cream. That is how my mom made it and that is how I still make it now
I refrigerate my tortillas after I open them. I never thought about it but i thought it was strange when you pulled it out of the cupboard. I have homemade granola left too. I just did my big grocery trip because we had no food after vacation. Cinnamon and sugar toast or cinnamon rolls are our favorites. Use lots of cinnamon 😁 I still have my vanilla sitting. Love you pushing the canning funnel!
I love these videos and I’m an odd one I don’t really like the smell of coffee or the taste but I still drink coffee sometimes. 😂 My coffee is mainly made with lots of sugar and creamer.
You brew coffee in a coffee machine at about a teaspoon or tablespoon ,depending on your liking, of ground cinnamon to the coffee grounds before you brew and oh my God it makes the coffee so delicious
Completely unrelated to your video 🙈 but I saw an advert earlier for a Ben & jerrys ice cream that made me think of you! It’s called sunny honey home and it’s lemon ice cream with honeycombs and lemon flavoured cookies pieces, when I saw it I knew I had to tell you about it 😂😂
I don't think my local Aldi stocks any of the same stuff yours does, and we don't have any of the other stores you use here, but I love your videos regardless. Watching this one while I recover from my uphill walk home from my local Aldi.
Could you make cinnamon bath bombs to help you use up the cinnamon? From what I hear, it's pretty easy. Maybe they'd make a good little autumn themed gift? Could the making them also serve as a fun science learning activity for the kids?
Love the smell of coffee, hate the taste. Cottage cheese is great in salad dressing. The trick is to blend it in the blender until it's smooth. It's kind of like buttermilk, but not as tangy.
You tube would not let me edit my last comment lol but I wanted to add that I also sprinkle cinnamon in my pancake batter and oh my gosh it's so delicious also. I also sprinkle little dusting on my apple slices when I want a little something extra. I also like it sprinkled in my vanilla or toasted coconut yogurt
You might know this already, but you can return almost anything to Costco even if you have opened it and used some of it. I’m going to try the vinegar in my load of towels tonight. I’m looking forward to seeing the results! I’m also going to get one of those canning funnels. I could have used one of those last week. I really love how organized you are, and so I’m jealous of all of the storage space in your kitchen and laundry area - Wow! On a random note, the saying on your t-shirt is so cute. Did you cut the neckline yourself or did it come like that? I do not like a tight crew neck and have always wanted to try to cut the neckline myself, but I’m always too nervous that I will ruin the shirt. Do you have any tips (if you did it yourself)? Do I need to finish it in any way or do I just cut and go? ✂️👚 Thanks so much! I really enjoy all of your videos! Oh, I almost forgot, I love the smell of coffee and like the way it tastes. No, I LOVE the way it smells. 😂

Oh you did make me laugh when you talked about the cottage cheese in the ranch 😂
Great prep video 😊
Thank you so much friend!

Love seeing that mount olive pickles. Thank you for supporting my county. The mount olive pickles company is in the county I live in( eastern NC)

You can freshen up stale baked goods by putting them in the microwave with a tiny dish of water.

Thank you! I am so glad you could be here!!
LOVE cleaning out the refrigerator before a haul!
Happy Happy Birthday 🎈🎂 to your children 🥳🎉.
Enjoyed the once a month prep.
Hope your dad is doing well.
Looking forward to your shopping 🛒🛍️ trip.
I like the smell and taste of coffee!!

Me too!!! So so helpful!
Good morning and happy Tuesday love your stained glass window 🪟 ❤
Thank you Tameka!
1 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup mayo. 1 packet ranch seasoning
Coffee...The smell, the taste. Ah, I LOVE coffee!! I even buy coffee-scented candles for my house. I am a coffee addict!!
Yeeesss!!!!
LOVE the Smell, HATE the Taste!!
Cook up some apples like "Cracker Barrel" does and put cinnamon in it. Or if you have regular Apple Sauce just add it to every serving.
Costco's toilet paper has changed, not sure why. I went back to Sam's TP. Great video!
Put the cinnamon in your granola before/after you make it. Also in your waffle batter - you can also chop an apple really small, or even stew it slightly first.
You can also make cinnamon sugar butter, which can be frozen. Spread a little on some hot toast for the ultimate delish snack!😊
You could probably simmer some cinnamon and vanilla in water on the stove for a potpourri! Maybe add in some orange peels too.
Love my ☕
Hi megan its that time again for shopping love watching you❤
what I sometimes do it write the date on things when I open it, so I have an idea how long it lasts next time (f.e. big bottle oliveoil, garbage bags etc)
I recently bought the Costco pods for the dishwasher. So far so good. Before that I was using the Walmart brand. I love strawberry cake.
Yes for the dip Ranch one milk and mayo. For the Dill one I've always done mayo and sour cream. That is how my mom made it and that is how I still make it now
I’m so glad you didn’t recommend the cottage cheese. 😂😊
I refrigerate my tortillas after I open them. I never thought about it but i thought it was strange when you pulled it out of the cupboard. I have homemade granola left too. The canning funnel is a beautiful thing!
And very good thinking with the cinnamon rolls!! Done!
love ☕ smell and LOVE THE TASTE 💖💖
Can you preserve tomatoes in jars in the frig? Do you have a general list of what you can put in jars. I just found you!
I would use sour cream for the Canada Ranch Mix.
I love these videos and I’m an odd one I don’t really like the smell of coffee or the taste but I still drink coffee sometimes. 😂 My coffee is mainly made with lots of sugar and creamer.

My sister-in-law just started adding cinnamon to her coffee grounds. I think that’s a good idea.

Mad Goat coffee is great. There is 2 locations short trip from me.

You can seal the coffee bag I don’t like coffee at all not the smelling or drinking gross
I don’t like the smell of coffee so I have never tasted it. I’m a Diet Coke for breakfast kinda girl!
Coffee NO WAY!! smell and taste
Not sure where you live but Kroger's brand of all-natural peanut butter is the best peanut butter I've ever had in my entire.. true story.😊
I’ve never been to Krogers - I think there’s one about 45 min away… I’d love to check it out sometime!
I was wrong, we have Costco too, I think.
I don't prep unless it's a few items but when i do a big big shopping i don't prep go in each isle and pick up😂😂😂😂😂
Love the smell of coffee but hate the taste
I love the smell and not the taste(and doesn't agree with the tummy) ^_^.
Hey Megan, my autistic son he's (28) is already talking about the fair he goes with a freind every year he can't wait.
So fun!! What’s his fav thing to do? We’re a toss up between Tom Thumb donuts, face painting, and the rides!
Do you keep some bags in the car?
I don't but that is an idea!!!!
I love the smell but do not like the taste I wish I did lol always feel like an off ball
Why do you put a cup of baking soda in the fridge?
Neutralizes food odors in your refrigerator. 😊
@@Thegrocerylady ohhh yeah.
Half Mayo and half sour cream you won’t taste the Mayo and if you don’t tell anyone they will never know lol
I follow a lady that puts cinnamon in all her juices that she makes in her juicer.
I'm one of those who Love the smell but Hate the taste
I like the Smell of Coffee but not the taste of coffee.
If you have a pipe burst under your bathroom sink you have bigger problems than ruined TP 🤭
For me if it not broken don't fix it
Love the smell of fresh coffee but I don't like it at all 🤢🤢🥵
Stained glass window is pretty. Unfortunate that it makes you look bruised. Much less unfortunate than you actually BEING bruised.
Agreed! 😊 I’ve had people very concerned that I was bruised in the past, so had put everyone at ease before I started. 😊😊
