Your chattering is just perfect. Love the patterns you rolled and stamped. The shapes and colors of all your bowls, mugs, butter dishes and everything are beautiful. I just love everything you do! You get so much done and your studio is amazing. The ocean sure is calming to me.
Beautiful and adventurous glazing as usual Vaughan! I love Folk Art too, although yours is a lot more on the rusty side than mine. I made a batch recently using Grolleg kaolin as I was out of EPK, and got an even creamier colour. I managed to get all the ingredients together to try your purple recipe too! Sure hoping your weather is now closer to your normal?? Thanks so much.
Thanks Susan, we are above freezing every day this week. Too bad the noreaster is coming Wednesday. My next batch of Folk Art white will be with less Yellow iron Ochre and no Illmenite.
@@tompots2 The clay will effect it too. I add a little yellow iron ochre and illmenite, although my next batch will not include these add ons. If you email me I will send you a photo from my glaze notes page.
I think I missed the video with your introduction to your new purple. I'll have to look for that - it's a lovely glaze and my sister in law LOVES that shade of purple. 🙂 As always your pottery is just lovely!

@@Vsmithpots I don’t actually have an own studio. In Finland many ceramic artists sell their ceramics at fairs, markets in the summer or in gift-shops. I produce my elves for sale (and sometimes some other sculptures) but it’s mostly still on a hobby stage. Some artists have an own studio, but most people use Arbis ( you can see a description on that in my video ” Lifelong learning in Finland” ) I take classes once a week and sometimes produce stuff at home. Cheers! Mika
Gracias por compartir el momento mas emocionante de un ceramista, la destapada de horno de esmalte. Una pregunta, en mi traductor sale un color como para el chorreado y dice "avena" que color es realmente.
I try and help the animals and birds by feeding them but the gulls just tell all their buddies and next thing you see 50 of them. We have a few buds on the Montauk Daisies, they are really tough survivors.

Thank you and see you soon.
Boss level, your glazing is spot on. Great job!
I love the glazes your using very beautiful.
Very informative. Thank you.
I am also interested in how you use slab clay and would appreciate a video. Thanks😊
Would like to see your slump molded tray with handles technique
I made those yesterday so I can film one today. Thanks.
OMG those whales!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful...

Very nice! What do you use to sign your signature on the bottom of your pots?
LUG1 underglaze.
With your Folk Art White do you replace any of the Tin Oxide with ZercoPax or something similar?
I use Tin.
@@Vsmithpots I am not getting the same look, it is probably the firing schedule. I used 5 liters of water for a 5k batch... is that too watery?

Thank you Vaughan watching from sunny South Carolina! A little snowbird time but I miss my wheel 😊
Lovely weather! And pots! Would love to see the tray being made one day! Thank you! All the best. Pavlina
I will do a video on trays soon.

I got it from a cone 6 glaze book
@@Vsmithpots I've got a few of those... I'll have to check. Thank you!
Amazing! Do you make your own glazes or are these a specific store bought brand?

Soo beautiful ceramics! Lovely glazes and combos!
Cheers from a not actually as cold as you had today, Finland!
Thanks, what kind of studio and marketing do you have in Finland?

@@clayeasy Sounds like a fun social evening.
Beautiful as always. I really love the way you photograph everything put together at the end. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Love the glazes you use. Your pottery is lovely.
Beautiful butter dishes.
The purple is gorgeous

The colour is called oatmeal, a creamy off white. Thanks for watching.
Always love seeing your work it so beautiful ❤
Thanks
Great looking stuff. Again. Love it. I had a question: About how many Cone 6 firings do you get on a set of kiln elements?
I would guess about 100.
Lovely Vaughan😍 I can’t believe the temperatures that you are having to endure 🥶 All the wild animals must be really struggling 🙁
