You are absolutely right Brian Cashman is very comfortable in his position as he is confident that he will never be fired. Something is happening at the Yankees farm that we have not developed good young talents apart from Judge that has turned out well those guys are coming up The big leagues are not performing.
this game of baseball is over 100 years old, and the same things that made champions in the begining is what makes champions now. pitching, defense, and contact put the ball in play

We are headed back to that horrible 4 Year stretch from 89-92! I remember being a 14 year kid back in 1990 and I could not find anyone to go with me to Bat Day because the Yankees were so bad!
Hey Joez, die hard Red Sox fan here. Born and raised going to Fenway. And even for me, seeing the Yankees like this is... depressing. I feel bad for Yankees fan like yourself. And I agree, changes NEED to happen. Yankees fans will hate it but I honestly think they should do what the Red Sox did (are doing), a legitimate re-build. It sucks but the payoff is worth it, IMO.

He’s a good defender can hit some hr but he’s a horrible hitter right now, they brought him up to early, he’s playing with a bunch of bums bringing him down it won’t help his game. Most young rookies that are hyped like he was usually do some damage their first year, trout, Alonso, judge, Harper, etc. I don’t see him as the future SS for the Yankees. They missed the mark with so many players in all the OF positions 3rd base, 1st base Catcher. They just haven’t even tried in the off-season or trade deadlines

ALL players in MLB defensively, he's 4th in most stats on this team, he's hit more homeruns 9 with runners on that's more than anyone on this team, give it a rest you ppl that pick at this kid are childish and REDICULOUS, so relax because he's not going anywhere for a LONG TIME

I think the turnaround is coming. Unfortunately it may be to little to late. But if they fire boone and get healthy going into next year I think they can run it back and possibly win a world series. Houston is out!! Yankees when healthy are a really good team.

I hope I am wrong because I like Volpe but he does not impress me at all.I think he was rushed to the Big leagues, is playing out of position, and he is a student of the Yankees terrible hitting philosophy of hit the ball hard and don't worry if you hit 190 as long as you hit the ball hard.

They were losing last night or other night but Judge and another player were laughing as they were getting slapped around. If he was team leader he would be yelling at his team mates. But thats what happens when your getting a boat load of money.
Aaron Judge is perfectly content not to make the playoffs for the next 8 seasons of his contract. This way, he can’t be criticized for not performing in the post season.
Florial a great example. He is a fast lefty all he has to do is hit line drives and he could be a .275-.300 hitter just putting it in play he got all the tools but for sum reason still stuck in AAA
This would had been a perfect time for them to play him and give over 100 at bat's. Se what they got

I like watching these videos cause I’m tired of ranting , so I release the frustration by watching other fans rant.
Thought they were a 4th place team last year but they got off to such a hot start that it carried them. They've been a .500 team since 2021. Bad trades, no prospects of note in years & now an aging team stuck with bad contracts. Goid job with your points joez. Wish we had something to root for.

It all makes sense now. You have seasoned players who rake elsewhere and then they become putrid for the Yanks. They move on to a new team and suddenly they’re back to themselves. It’s all baked in for the Yanks, it ain’t going to change for a looooong time.

August 19, 2023 was the date a team can bring up prospects and not lose one year of team control.

Is anyone surprised that this team ranks 29th in that stat? These are all facets of fundamental baseball.
Who hired Boone? Who hired the analytics department (headed by an Ivy League math major whose only experience with competitive baseball was playing Strat-o-Matic)? Who hired the coaching staff? Who hired the guys running the farm teams? This is ALL on Cashman. Expecting him to fix what he broke makes no sense to me. But Hal's cool with it because the money's rolling in.
How can a team win with a incompetent GM, a manager that has to listen to him who is also incompetent, and a rich so called Captain that is afraid to speak his mind to his "fellow teammates".? That trio wins nothing.

If the players ran their own teams, the profit motive wouldn’t be their primary goal. Their primary goal would be to win games. Hierarchy stifles creativity and ingenuity. Freedom and collaboration do the opposite.

the astros are a good example of the playoffs not being a crapshoot. 4 pennants and 4 world series appearances requires a lot of discipline and hard work in the front office to build these players up to perform. the yankees are getting boatraced against teams like the orioles and rays because they have new staff almost every year. fresh minds, new ideas. Brian Cashman’s dinosaur thinking ways that building a team with money will fix the problem is the problem. the game has changed.

what's so funny (and i dont know the age group in this chat) but in the 80s-90s we all wanted George Steinbrenner to be gone because he wouldnt make his baseball people do their jobs. he would trade all his young players for over the hill ones. i could give you a long list of good players that he traded away. the best thing that happened was when he got suspended from baseball, and i was at the game when it was announced and all fans gave a standing ovation to the news lol. with that happening they were able to build the dynasty team( george wanted to trade bernie williams). but i have come to understand that he was just passionate about his team, something that Hal is not.
Cashman is a brother to Hal he is considered family. Cashman is the owner without the title especially since Hal doesnt really like to be involved. Cashman is driving a stolen ferrari and doesnt care if he crashes it. Honestly one of the worst thing to happen to the steinbrenner was Hank passing away

Also, the coaching approach today with the Yankees is different then other teams because the Yankees coaches are friends with the players. I remember playing high school ball and even baseball in the Marine Corps team, the coaches made it a point to tell us they were not our friends. Yankees need to go back to old school coaching and punish the players for shitty mistakes.
Don't forget that the Guardians last year and this year are in a rebuild mode. The ALC is so weak that Guardians got in last year and are still able to win the division this year while being under .500.

We ruined Miguel Andujars career.. cus instead of teaching him to throw to first.. we do what we always do.. “ when the going gets tough, we switch positions “ lmao and hope for the best.. Andujar had a top 10 rookie season.. had 50 doubles etc.. and all of a sudden after he came back from injury he can’t hit..

There are 2 big stars on this team. (not including relief pitchers) The rest are a bunch of Brian Cashman half-measures. Cashman bungled the Judge contract from word go. Low-ball offers to go into Judge mega season for the ages. So Cashman handcuffed himself. Add in the massive miscalculation regarding Donaldson. Add in the injuries/aging of DJ, Rizzo, and Stanton...and the lineup is inept in the most competitive division. Not only have the Yankees underspent (they should not be outspent), but Cashman has spent unwisely and also had bad luck. It can be fixed. I don't think Cashman is willing to admit how wrong his philosophy has been. They need a new GM.

I don't care what anybody says, that team last year was a 4th place team. Judge went isane and a few other guys were having career years in the prior to the All-Star Break but after that it all fell apart. If it hadn't been for Judge maintaining his ridiculous play throughout the whole year, they don't get to 99 wins. They've been a putrid team since July 2022 and that the GM and owner did nothing to fix the roster in the offseason, particularly the lineup, is despicable and unacceptable.
