I was not expecting this, but it was a good surprise😊 That stapler is so cool!! Just a fun fact, for one of the languages I speak, Afrikaans (similar to Dutch), when you translate the word for 'stapler' directly into English it's 'paper vampire' which I find hilarious😂
When you're learning, you can't fail. Hugs Helen. I know you perfected this a long time ago now - just want you to be reminded that you're doing incredibe things and every "failure" is a new lesson learned and that is never really failure. I love watching your videos, they are so inspiring to me.
The misfits deserve a good home too:) we learn through our mistakes so thank you for sharing even if it is not the most comfortable. I can’t wait to order mine!
Beyond excited for these sticker books! Thank you for taking us along with you and sharing a bit of the process. I cannot wait to get my hands on these 👀
I’ve had the same horror happen when stamping in my Hobonichi! Other inks work really well, such as Tsukineko Dew Drops or even using a marker (Mildliners!) to color on the stamp as an ink pad substitute. Excited for your new machines and the coming sticker books!
I literally screamed NOOOOOO when I seen your ink pad. I'm sure you'll find a creative way to cover things up. I can't wait to buy those sticker books 😍
I stamp all the time but I use those tear drop ink pads from jet pens. When I saw that big black archival I also said “No no no no no - stop!” Lol. I’m sure you stickered your way out of it.
Just a little advice for the guillotine cutter. The blade is slightly misaligned in these cutters so you cannot cut in a straight line if you put the books exactly as you want in perpendicular line. You have to check where you want to cut and align it with blade and a little away from the top part. That markings on there that are supposed to help you cut straight are rendered useless because the blade is a bit misaligned. You can see where the blade has made the mark after cutting (on the red part) and align your cuts that way. I hope I made sense and it helped 😅
This was so cool!! Thank you for sharing this process with us. It wasn't a failure, just a learning experience, and I know anyone of us would love your 'learning experience- oopsie items' so they def won't go to waste. 😉 I love when you take us thru your process and journey, and show us parts of your life. We get to learn more about you, see fun emotiness, and see your cuteness too!! Thanks Helen!! ((Hugs))
Loved this video! Don’t think of failures but as trials and errors. I freaked out along with you with the stamp on the other pages too! If I lived near you, I would definitely have applied for the assistant position. Seems awesome!! Xoxo
How exciting!!! I can’t wait to snag one of your sticker books once you start getting the hang of things. Those staplers look intense especially with the metal part coming backwards! I love how organized you are and can’t wait to see the new drops soon. ❤
I loved seeing behind the scenes and that staper is amazing! Really looking forward to the sticker books, even the misfit sticker books, they deserve a good home too! TFS!
I like the stamp. It is nice to get the behind the scenes look at what you are up to. Lucky Sophia! She is ableto work with you. Looking forward to the new items!
I cringed when I saw you were going to use archival ink - been there, done that! Archival goes through everything. Stamping onto sticker paper was my work around. Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes. The sticker books are gorgeous.
I NEED those sticker books 😂😭 such a cute behind the scenes, I'm so excited for all the things you have planned for us! you bring sunshine to so many, thank you for being you Helen❤
What a fun behind the scenes! I’m expecting my first Hobonichi this Friday and I’m so excited to see that you can use watercolour in it!! I’m a watercolour artist (and fellow Canadian)!!
I would love a sticker book, and stamps as well to be added to the shop! I also saw the shirt you were wearing as well . Clothing wouldn't be a bad idea either😊😊😊
Ah this video was such a lovely surprise, what a great start to my Wednesday! I love your vlog videos Helen, thanks for sharing all this neat behind the scenes stuff. Here's some random reactions I had while watching : - Omg there's going to be sticker books!? 😍 - heavy duty corner rounder!? 🤩 yay no more corner rounding by hand! - super impressed you set up those staplers yourself 🙌, reminded me of trying to set up Ikea furniture except like a scary version that could attack you 😅 - when the stapler worked it was super satisfying! 👌 - OMG EMOTI HEAD sticker book!!! 🥰 & re-sorted by emotions is the Best Thing Ever! I use some emotions a lot more than others so this is so awesome!!! 😁 - 12:07 - that stamping moment... I've done the exact same thing!!! I relate to that so hard like omg nooooo 😱 Have a great week Helen, hope your leg is feeling better 💖
Hi Helen! Same happened to me with one of my stamp set in the Hobo and I can tell you it is the ink. Try the tsukineko memento ink pads those are good for Japanese paper. Hope this help
Hey Helen!!! I loved to see some more of the process on how your home shop works! It's amazing! You do the stickers from start to finish and this is amazing!!! And loved the sticker books, can't wait to put my hands on them!!! Also, you said you were doing something for sticker organization and I know if will be wonderful, but wanted to ask you if you could think about an album or book to transfer the leftovers that we have. Sometimes I cut them, sometimes I leave 2 or 3 in a sheet and I think I could organize that better. Anyway, is something to think about if you can! Thanks for everything you do, I admire so much your passion for it!
12:00 right here I already knew and said to myself "oh nooooooooo" ROFL!! That ink is great for other substrates and unfortunately Tomoe River paper isn't one of them. The Dew Drop Chalk inks are really the only stamp inks that I've found to work in the hobos (it has to be the chalk ink version though). I'm so sorry about your bleed through!! 😭
How many of us gasped and said Nooooooo as if in slow motion while watching you ink this new cute stamp lol I'm sure many have already recommended Versa Magic chalk inks...some of the colors will ghost but won't bleed through. As further precaution I will stamp a "second generation " stamp in my hobonichi! So glad you're getting some heavy duty equipment to make your life easier!! 🙌
Such a fun surprise having this video!! And Yaay Sophia is cool and I’m sure you guys are going to work well together. It’s frustrating when your gadgets don’t do what you want them to do!! Arg!!!! But I’m sure you’ll figure it out. So excited for the sticker books tho and I think decorating them in cute vinyls would be a grand idea 😍😍👏🏽
Oh, Hon! When you showed your ink pad I was yelling, "no, no, no!" Another road you can try is the black pad from Illustrated Faith. I use it for bible journaling and it also works really well on Tomoe River Paper.
Yeah.... I ❤️ studio vlogs. I've been binge watch XXL Scrunchies vlogs. She just moved to a new warehouse. I'll check out your video on Instagram. Hope your leg is getting better. If you're still limping around pick up a cane from the drug store or thrift store. It'll help with body mechanics.
Love your videos, Helen. This is the second video where you mentioned that your hands hurt after repetitive fine motor tasks. Do you ever get tingling or numbness in your forearm or hands? If so, I would recommend seeing a doctor to be evaluated for carpal tunnel syndrome or ulnar neuropathy. These are conditions where the nerves of the arm get pinched at the elbow or wrist and can cause a lot of discomfort/pain. They tend to occur in people who spend a lot of time working at a computer... I have both! They can be treated with splints if caught early enough. If caught too late, it can require surgery. I hope this is helpful and not scary... I just want to make sure you are taking care of yourself. xo
Maybe can try inning the stamp with tombow 😅 oh god! If you hire virtual assistants or helpers do let us know too! Then i can contribute to tcmc w/o needing to move to canada! XD
Just wanted to say that you gained a new follower!! I usually dislike the lyric type narrating, but this was a nice change of pace since you also included your voice. I hope to enjoy more of your content and keep up the good work!! P.S I absolutely love the behind the scenes of your business. It's my favorite type of content to consume in general after anime, hahaha.
That auto stapler looks impressive! Has it been working well for you? Do you get any staples that don't go in properly? I use a manual one and it's ok, but not great. Not to mention the effort needed to push down on it everytime! Could you also share where you got yours from please?
Hi Hellen I hope this is a good idea and it works you can make a hobonichi cousin 2.0 in your style but for 3 dollars and upload it in your shop and Amazon
Personally, I don’t like using stamps because eventually it get uneven and won’t stamp properly. I look forward to your creative way of covering the other side of the page.

Ohhh that's so cool! Thank you for sharing this fun fact~
that is the best thing I have ever heard, omg 😭
Omg that is hilarious lol 🤣 I love that
teeechnically that's not wrong haha! staples have two teeth which they use to eat paper :)
We have an old manual “piggyback” stapler at my office. Imagine what I could to with an electric one!

Aww thank you for watching Abi!
Love this little glimpse behind the scenes! Thank you for sharing, and I hope you are well. :)
Thank you for watching Debra!!
I’ve had the same horror happen when stamping in my Hobonichi! Other inks work really well, such as Tsukineko Dew Drops or even using a marker (Mildliners!) to color on the stamp as an ink pad substitute. Excited for your new machines and the coming sticker books!
Agreed, the chaulk inks work well. They can bleed but it happens rarely for me and the color saturation is still gorgeous
Thank you soo much for the suggestion Alison!!!
I also use “second generation” stamping to avoid bleeding. Less saturated but can look cool too.
I literally screamed NOOOOOO when I seen your ink pad. I'm sure you'll find a creative way to cover things up. I can't wait to buy those sticker books 😍
I knowwwwww hahaha. Now I am aware what NOT to do XD
I stamp all the time but I use those tear drop ink pads from jet pens. When I saw that big black archival I also said “No no no no no - stop!” Lol. I’m sure you stickered your way out of it.

Great job getting the new staplers all set up. 😃👍🏼 I think the sticker books like nice. Can’t wait til they’re available in the shop. ❤️

What a fun behind the scenes! I’m expecting my first Hobonichi this Friday and I’m so excited to see that you can use watercolour in it!! I’m a watercolour artist (and fellow Canadian)!!
Just amazing! I love the cutters and rounders and staplers! ❤️
For stamping in your hobonochi cousin, I found that chalk ink works best, but it takes time to dry. It does not bleed through!!
I would love a sticker book, and stamps as well to be added to the shop! I also saw the shirt you were wearing as well . Clothing wouldn't be a bad idea either😊😊😊
Yessss coming soon!!!
What??? I get to watch a new video on a weekday?! Yay! Didn’t see this until late, late into the night but had to watch it before I conk out! 😂
Put a vinyl sticker behind the stamp part or any of your amazing die cuts !
Love this ideda!!! Whill have to decorate this little thing~
How exciting!! I can’t wait for the sticker books!!
I was also tickled to hear the watercoloring fever hit you too. ♥️
Yesss I go through phases hahaha

Dew drops are the best for hobonichi. I also had that experience of bleed thru with other inks.
Thank you for the recommendation!
Have a great weekend, Helen 💞💞💞
Thank you Kimiko! Have a great weekend!

Yes I second that! The dew drop chalk inks work well on the Tomoe river paper 👍
your videos are so aesthetically pleasing to watch!
Aw thank you so much!
Always love your videos. You are so extremely talented. Blessings.
Omg I give it to you girl! I did not know how much work went into doing stickers... you go girl love your stuff...

Not the anxiety when your hair wasn't pulled back near the machine!
😱 glad it was all safe :)
Bahaha the first staple was definitely scary XD
Love this! You had a mini planner on top and your HC below at the start. Would you talk in a future video about how you use both?
Yes absolutely!!! This is the My Emoti Planner Vol.2. I'm still kind of experimenting with it so I will talk about it more likely mid-late August!
This was so wonderful, love to see more behind the scenes!!
Your work amazing… I’m obsessed with your writing so clean and perfect love it…
I'm loving the unexpected video!!!
Thank you Alejandra!
It was fantastic! I am so impressed how you do it all! Helen, thanks for sharing🥰

I was so excited to get this extra video from you Helen and loved the behind the scenes look 😊
Yayyy so excited!! I've been looking forward to this video but to get it early... best surprise in the world :D
Oh, Hon! When you showed your ink pad I was yelling, "no, no, no!" Another road you can try is the black pad from Illustrated Faith. I use it for bible journaling and it also works really well on Tomoe River Paper.
I love your handwriting. I'm not yet done watching but I can't help but comment. HAHA
SUBSCRIBED!!!!
Wonderful video. I don't like using stamps in planner because I know I can't use them properly 😀. I like Mama tator's garden.
If you sold grey t-shirts like the one in the last clip, I would buy one!
Working on it Sarah! Super excited~
I love the packing and making of videos from shops. So seeing this 😍😍😍 specially since whatever you just made might be mine one day!!!
Aww thank you so so much!!
No words!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
LOL I literally made a post on the FB about stamping inks LOL
Really nice handwriting and nice work
Use versa magic dewdrop in your hobonichi with a light touch to prevent ink going through several pages. 🤓 Hope that helps. 🙂
Yeah.... I ❤️ studio vlogs. I've been binge watch XXL Scrunchies vlogs. She just moved to a new warehouse. I'll check out your video on Instagram.

Love the shirt!!
Love your coffee Mug.
Thank you! 😊
Try using Versa Magic for stamping in ur Hobonichi... 😊
OMG So Excited 😆
Me too me too!!
What lovely neat beautiful handwriting you have. I am sooo jealous 😂
The versa inks don't bleed like that 😫 it looks so cute though!
Will be trying those next! Thanks Shelby!!
I hope your leg is all better!
Thank you!! I can now walk properly but I'm taking things slow
So excited! What type of sticker paper do you use? I’d love to find a good one for printables ☺️

That bluish purple ink that was shown in your video. Whats the name of that? its really pretty
Came here to see if this was answered yet.
Robert Oster Blue Water Ice!
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Thanks for the reply to the original comment about this. Love all of your videos and am glad to see you're on the mend!
I just ordered last night my paper trimmer from vevor, I think it's the same that you have! Do you like how it cuts??
Love this 💖👌🏻
Thank you!!!
Does the hobonichi cousin work will with watercolors? or does it bleed through?
Super well, although you can't do serious washes with heavy layering!! Just good for sketches. No bleeding.
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Wow, I'm very surprised. I've always been intimidated with how thin the pages are! Thank you!
Hi Hellen I hope this is a good idea and it works you can make a hobonichi cousin 2.0 in your style but for 3 dollars and upload it in your shop and Amazon
Hello Helen! Just wanted to ask, what ink were you using writing "more onboarding stuff"? Really love the color
That's Robert Oster Blue Water Ice, such a gorgeous ink!
What brand of pen do you use to write your to- do list in the beginning of your video?
best part of my day 😁 do you print and cut all your sticker sheets yourself?! 😵
Yes, all of the sticker sheets and vinyls are made by Helen & her family.
What kind of printer are you using?
What brand of paint are you using?
A mix of Winsor & Newton and Daniel Smith!
What?!? Another video!
Thank you so much Rossana!
Can I use the emoti idea for my small business? Pleaaaassseeeee ❤
Use it how?
do you use a manufacture company for your stickers
They are printed and cut by Helen & her family.
Cute 😍
Just curious…when will you be selling your washi tape rolls again?
There will be 1-2 rolls available during the birthday sale next month.
Personally, I don’t like using stamps because eventually it get uneven and won’t stamp properly. I look forward to your creative way of covering the other side of the page.
I want a hobonichi cousin so bad but it’s very expensive in India
