Wow, Richard, you did it again! You nailed that interview with Dr Barrie Tan and your insightful questions and your engaging personality. You always manage to bring out the best in your guests and make them feel comfortable. You are such a talented interviewer and a joy to watch. I can't wait for your next episode!
I take a low dose of a statin. After mentioning GG on another channel, I started using 300 mg of it daily because I noticed my fasting glucose level and hba1c were climbing up. Now, after 2 months, I see glucose went down significantly as well as hba1c.
I'm on Keto, which reversed my diabetes. Consequently it was recommended I go on statins. I was uncomfortable but initial research looked OK. Then I stumbled across more research. Studies are difficult and correlation is not causation. There are a lot more studies to watch for this year. Cholesterol is made in the liver. There is a disease that kills children with atherosclerosis, but it typically shows up with age. Why is it okay for decades? There are a lot of ideas being tested and oxidized Cholesterol and triglycerides look like more of a problem. Doctors currently recommend solutions disproven decades ago. All I'm saying is I have reversed several health issues that were supposed to be permanent. Nutrition is key. Look for credible and educated skepticism. Look at the data. It's your life.
Thank you! I see the problem not only in oxidized cholesterol but more in LDL particles (or "carriers" of cholesterol), that's why I need to lower it with 5 mg Crestor and 10 mg Zetia. Side effects are minimal, all I noticed was a slow increase of glucose from 90 to 100 over the period of 6 months. Now, hopefully with GG, it moved back below 90. By the way, oxidized cholesterol skyrockets with using popular in keto diet "ghee". Be careful.
Nice! I had no idea that CoQ10 was so unavailable. I've added GG to my mix primarily due to my statin use (thanks to your earlier videos!) and now I see no reason to continue CoQ10.
Hi Ken, thanks for sharing. Please let us know how you do. Are you measuring your CoQ10 levels? By the way, are you seeing any difference after taking GG with your statins? Thanks!
@@ModernHealthspan I 've been taking CoQ10 in a mix with K2 for convenience but I'll look for an alternative. Not measuring it directly since I have no symptoms.
I recently bought Tan´s product (deltagold), and somewhere on youtube, he mentioned a multivitamin brand that doesn´t contain tocopherols, but I can´t remember its name. Do you know it? Can someone help me find out which brand Dr Tan recommends?
He said that he got Designs for Health to replace tocopherol with his Delta Gold tocotrienol in their multivitamin. I don't really like it though because it's not a whole food/organic multivitamin. It has some synthetic ingredients (e.g. ascorbic acid). Garden of Life makes an organic/whole food one that has "annatto" but it's not Dr. Tan's Delta Gold.
thank you very much@@melissag.9179 , i found their webpage and checked the product, and it suits me. what I want is a multivit. without alfa tocoferol, and their products are perfect. they have even meticobalamin instead of ciano, folate instead of folic acid, no iron and no copper... not megadoses, but at least 100% daily allowance...

You can lower your LDL without messing up your sugar snd other side effects from statins with Praluent instead.

Interesting. Thanks Richard.
Hi Ron, thanks!
Ubiquinol is not absorbable as GG?. Whats the better way to get the most absorbtion of coq10 bioqunol or GG?
