One of my favorite lex interviews. One of the few guests that isn't trying to impress us with how smart they are. This guy's entire agenda is all about love and kindness to the earth and animals. Love it.
I had 2 pet snakes, owned at the same time, the one was an albino corn snake and the other was a normal brown ball python. I've owned everything from birds to hamsters to cats and dogs but what fascinates me about snakes more than any other animal I had is how they grow. I got them both as tiny hatchlings. I got the corn snake first and I knew it was gonna be a hatchling but had no idea exactly how tiny they are as hatchlings. I was fascinated when I first saw it, it was literally as long and thin as an earthworm but it has this bright vibrant red and white patterning (just google a picture). The whole thing could practically wrap around my finger. You see the hatchlings in pictures but in person you realise how tiny they are. It was there coolest thing ever, and then watching it get bigger and bigger as the months go by is such a cool part about the whole experience
In Shetpal a small village, located in Maharashtra’s Sholapur District, India, there is a tradition of keeping a hole in the house for snakes to live in. The villagers do not mind the snakes’ presence and let them roam freely. They coexisted in this manner for many generations.
Listening to this man telling the story of the cobra who was thirsty was very emotional to me, I don't know why, maybe it's because I'm just naturally afraid, of everything, like modern people so often are. Clearly, although tough and dangerous, mother-nature is not naturally disposed to killing you, although she will test you and fight you and wound you, she will also teach you and feed you and preserve you. I'm determined to look into this guys research and journeys and life because it looks to me as if he's, in a sense, one of the last hopes for this mud-ball we live on and its creatures. I know this isn't his message but to me, when it's all cut back to it's essentials, everything thrives when you love it and everything dies when you don't.
reptiles are awesome. and it has always been weird to me. there are a lot more people scared of snakes than they are of lizards. and i think it is partly because some think all snakes are venomous because some are venomous. but i think its mostly because people are often taught snakes are evil monsters.
Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, Give a man a rod, you feed him for a life time.. Great initiative not only for the logger but the World..COOL MATE
Yeah, I was at a ranch in Mexico and a rattlesnake was sunning himself at my front door. I was afraid to walk out and my wife thought it was funny. She called a little girl to move the snake for me. Just to show me that even the kids know how to handle the snakes in the area.
At first I was like ah this guy is some bs snake whispere but I listened to the end and now I'm just in aw with how he is actually helping the world good on him
I know all the facts about these two snakes and i would still rather be in closed up space with pit viper than anaconda, there is something about just even having to be near a snake that looks like it does, i think i might have a phobia against snakes because no matter how harmless or non venomous they are, still my worst nightmares are about snakes, and never have encountered one still.
The negative perception is justified, albeit wrong. We’ve recently discovered that humans & primates have an hard wired ability to recognize patterns resembling snakes more so than other predators. A developed evolutionary trait from our ancestors. Using tests such as blot patterns, etc.
Depends on where the guy is from in New Mexico on our farms we kill rattlesnakes on sight bc we have dogs and little kids and old people on our property and if you don’t they get out of control that we don’t kill bull snakes and we use ammonia to deter them as well also we have a road runner hut when you’re on property that doesn’t belong to you especially trails and wildlife refuges leave all the life alone
That fear of snakes isn’t just some thing that came out of nowhere it’s evolution, teaching us that things like that are dangerous, and to stay away now getting educated and learning about the animal is always a good thing to do but that fear is justified
The negative perception many have to snakes is unjustified. I had an albino king snake named Pookey. A lot of my friends were scared of it, my mom wouldn't even look at it. I call it Pookey because it's such a silly, disarming name. I love snakes.
Aw hell no, none of the three S's: Snakes, Sharks, Spiders. Two of those either stay outta my house or you die. Sharks, I stay outta their house, we have a deal.
This dude's a straight up hero, first anacondas are terrifying let alone having a king Cobra in your room 😬 And then continues with that gold mining stuff, goes against the gold miners to save the forest. Risks death constantly. Much braver man than i. If I sore a king Cobra I'd s### my pants ha
Shut up You understand the rest of the world can go completely green but it wouldn’t matter because China and India pollute the world, far worse then any western country. Wanna make change go over there, stop being stupid
Man my fear of spiders and snakes lol I could never conquer that fear. I'm sorry but spiders I can't ever get over it. But some people just don't have that fear which we need people like that in the world

My heart trembles in fear of creatures without feet,
And those with too many legs that crawl and creep
I simply refer to them as God's abominations.

It’s likely at one point in our evolutionary tree the threat of snakes either as predators or danger from poison was common.
That's interesting. I am terrified of snakes. The huge ones are monsters... sorry, but i have no empathy with snakes.
Crazy amazing story
