Great world series can't wait to re watch all 7 games
great game and the crowd was intense! I was there live! 30 years ago what a great memory!
Not For Us Saint Louis Cardinals Fans! 🤔😬
But I Am Surprised 😯 That This Was Not 🚫 A 4-Game Sweep In Favor Of The Minnesota Twins 🏟️⚾🏆
As Bad 😞As The Saint Louis Cardinals Pitching Was! 😳🧐🤨😱🤯
And I Am A Saint Louis Cardinals Fan.
But At Least We Made The Minnesota Twins Earn This 1987 World Series Championship. 🏆
Tom Kelly Out Managed Whitey Herzog!
Just Like Tom Kelly Out Managed Bobby Cox 4 Years Later, In 1991.
I Am Posting 📫 This 👇🏻 At 12:22 p.m. , Friday Afternoon 🌁🛤️🛣️🏙️ , March 8, 2024.
This game was a great one for Tim Laudner!
Steve Paige Same here. I met him through his son!
Mike Weber He only had 55 hits all season, but 16 of them were home runs.
Buck ninety fan club!
What an amazing job by Al Michaels and Tim McCarver calling this entire series
And Jim Palmer also
Remember this very well! I was in my sophomore yr of HS and rooting against the Cardinals! Joaquin Andujar's childish behavior (his you took my baby pacifier tantrum) during the '85 Series made me despise them so I was pulling for Minnesota in that '87 Series
This trio did a game in the dome in '94 against the Yanks just before the strike. I've never heard National level commentators have so many kind words about the Twins players. Jim Palmer gave Hrbek a lot of respect as he was just wrapping up his career. I was actually at the game so I didn't catch the broadcast until recently when I found it on here.
The Twins made some very good pitchers look very silly in this post season.
Kirby Puckett and Tony Gwynn R.I.P
Don Baylor, Juan Bergenger too. And of course don't forget Twiggy.
And Joe Niekro.
Twins Moments:
27:23 Gaetti’s Homer
47:42 Puckett’s single
51:33 Hrbek’s single
56:36 Bush’s 2 run double
1:02:02 Laudner’s 2 run single. Beautiful slide by Bush!
1:05:58 Gladden’s RBI single
1:07:25 Gagne’s RBI double
1:21:30 Gaetti’s single
1:32:50 Laudner’s Homer
1:42:13 Puckett throws out Oquendo at 3rd
2:01:20 Smalley’s double
2:11:43 Twins are half way to the title

Great world series
Imagine a team today attempting a three man pitching roster for the World Series? The player’s union would demand a work stoppage.
Pitchers can't go 8 or 9 innings like they used to, too many guys blowing out their arms and needing Tommy John surgery is one of the reasons why this is.
@@ckendall67horseshit! Too many pansies and foreigners always whining and crying is why. That and retard managers (see Rockhead Baldelli for example).
Love watching Rik Aalbert pitch.
That's awesome! He is legendary!
Circle me Bert!

Good stuff
Seeing the footage of Kelly in the dugout in the 9th inning, its hard to believe he is only 37 yrs old at the time.
"Dutch" is a Hall of Famer now.
27:26 Gaetti's 69th home run at the Metrodome.
Nice
Gladden and Gaetti mvp
The Pohlads did a good job of running the team from 1984 to 1992. Starting in 1993, the team took a very different turn. Eventually, Pohlad tried to contract the team out of MLB even though it had great fan support. Since the mid-2000s, the Twins have become the defining organization for 'making the playoffs' as the measuring stick for success. The Pohlads have NO interest in fielding a team that can advance to a World Series.
explain it to your grandma Tim McCarver.
Got any games where the twins lose ...
Is this the first World Series game to be started by 2 foreign-born pitchers? Maybe the only one??
Please don't remind me...
It worked out for both fan bases. Cards went on to win it all in 2006 and 2011…….but this was Minnesota’s time :)
Not lovin the voice of younger Al Michaels .
