Really am enjoying your content. It’s short, sweet and to the point. It’s unpretentious and very relatable. I think this channel is going to really grow.
The reason the Old Fitz is 13 yrs is because it wasn’t specifically created for this anniversary. It was distilled way back in 1999, aged, and at the 13 year mark it was determined to be exceptional (supposedly) and they decided to vat it to stop the aging process and hold on to it for some special occasion. This is that special occasion, apparently. Pretty cool to score whiskey made in the late 1990s though if you can find it.
Newbie here, how does the whole “hunting process” work? like at the new month drop, is there a lag period between that time and distribution to stores?
Prefer Larceny over EC, would like to get my hands on a Blood Oath to see if the hype is worth ur, Redwood Empire makes really good juice, gotta get tye Cask strength and BiB versions tho, rocket top, Grizzly beast and the black label stuff. I'll hunt fir the Screaming Titan, all their bottles are named after trees in California. If I see the Old Fitz I'm prolly gunna pass, dosent make much sense at that price point with the 17yr being $200 and the 19 $240
Blood Oath isn’t worth it imho. I have Pact 9, and while it’s a quality whiskey, it isn’t worth the $125 or so I paid. If you enjoy a finished bourbon, Joseph Magnus triple cask is better, has a better proof point, is easier to find, and cheaper to boot. Just my .02
I tried a pour of the 10. If you like Whiskey finished in Wine Casks this is for you. I don’t. I thought for the money $200/ bottle it’s not worth it. Not very complex and dry.

Cool! Thanks for the info!
All of Redwood Empire’s offerings are named after famous Redwood Trees. They also plant a tree for every bottle sold, kinda cool.
If you can acclimate the kids to only needing food every other day, that'll really help your bourbon budget. 😇🥃

Good question, there is a lag. Not all states will get all bottles, and some will get them sooner than others. Released at the distilleries first.
@@TheSubourbonDad Okay cool! I’ll try to look up the distillery and maybe see if i can track it somehow? Thanks for the response!
@davidweldon1897 what are you looking for?
Any clue the proof and age on the ecbp?
Haven’t gotten any intel on it yet
