Unless the trees or foliage are destroying the walls and foundation of the house I understand that renovations usually start with the buildings. I wondered where you stayed while you worked on landscaping since the buildings looked uninhabitable. Would love to see the house renovation.
I find it so interesting how we usually renovate inside then outside. Your culture does outside in. Can you share your prospective on why renovations are done that way?
Make yourself a comfortable place to live before you do unnecessary work outside. If you run out of money, at least you have a home. A pretty yard can wait or you can do it bit by bit. Chop down weeds and go inside. At least you have a kitchen and bathroom and a place to sleep indoors.

I think renovations should start from the inside out. That way rubbish from inside is not going to mess up the cleaned out yard. But all to their own.
