    3rd world country problems, casios are still a luxury. SKMEI is a good affordable, slightly durable casio alternative. Most of us also work physically demanding jobs, beating a year's worth of Casio G-Shock is not really worth it.

    Any perceived problem with the skmei are first world problems IMO. I have a G Shock DW5600 from 1992 with the steel case. It has survived 31 years real abuse including 20 years of painting and plastering! 4 bezels later and the original strap which is cracking, I gave it a birthday with new after market strap and bezel. Looks like new almost apart from a few scratches on the glass. Just got a skmei to use instead. Only had it a week but I'm more than happy with it. Display isn't quite as good as Casio but the green led backlight is awesome IMO. It tells the time etc for bargain price. I think I paid NZ $150 for the G Shock in 1992? Skmei was NZ $23.00 with free shipping! Can't go wrong really 👍. Be interesting to see if it's still going 30 years from now? 🤔😉

      The DW5600 is certainly better than the Skmei 1628, but the DW5600 costs almost 10 times more. I have had my Skmei 1628 for 9 months now and it is ok, although it has failed 3 times. sometimes it tends to reset and on one other occasion the display turned into hieroglyphs.

      @@WorldReviews oh ok that's interesting. Like most things in life you get what you pay for. Think a new DW5600e is about NZ$140 now.

    Re. the timekeeping: I have around 20 G-Shock watches and - with the exception of the Multiband 6 5610's that update every night - their accuracy varies wildly, so much so that many of them would also be considered poor timekeepers if the loss of 6 seconds in 11 days is considered poor. That said, although it's often a lottery with accuracy, my daily beater Skmei 1628 currently loses only 2 seconds over a 7 day period - I'd say that's pretty good.

    • @WorldReviews
      @WorldReviews  Год назад +2

      My experience is that the DW5600 gains +9 seconds a month. My Skmei 1628 loses about 25 seconds a month.

      @@WorldReviews As I said, my Skmei loses only 2 seconds in 7 days (so around 9 seconds a month) - it's definitely a lottery. Now if it was minutes lost or gained...

    Una teoria muy personal sobre esa cruz que parpadea,es para evitar poner este modulo en una caja casio.

    • @WorldReviews
      @WorldReviews  Год назад

      Incluso sin la cruz, notas que el módulo de Skmei es peor, los números no son claros, especialmente a la luz del sol.

    • @DavidCollado87
      @DavidCollado87 Год назад +2

      Esa cruz es simple adorno y la programación es aún más simple: aparece sólo cuando también lo hace la barra horizontal central del último número de los segundos. Por eso aparece en todos menos en el 0, 1 y 7, que son valores "huecos".

    I have 2 of these watches and one loses a little time and the other gains a little but I don't agree that 6 secs in 11 days makes it an inaccurate watch.

      A reliable digital watch should maintain the plus/minus 15 seconds a month accuracy. My Skmei 1628 deviates more than that. About -20 seconds a month. My Casio DW5600 is more accurate as it gains no more than +9 seconds a month.
