Actually, William couldn't have planned their deaths when he didn't even know about Remnant and this is a fact that bothers me with Past Aftons reaction videos. That, and we don't even clearly see any actions of him wanting his own children dead. Indicated by the fact that he warns Elizabeth not to go near Baby, so this really bothers me with these types of reactions as everyone does the same thing. Not that I dislike the video itself, it's just that I'm tired of seeing the same thing over and over again, you know?
He didn't plan the death of his children. However, Baby was created in order to still kill. Not Elizabeth, there would have been someone else. I think he knew about remnant, maybe a little, but he knew.

If you think Elizabeth died first, yeah your AU could make sense but I doubt he would be happy seeing his family dead. The whole point he started killing is to bring his family back to life, I don't think he would be very happy seeing his own family destroyed by his own creations.
