I have only listened to 3 minutes of this and I am guessing she should NOT receive her down payment back but the other $1500 should be given back. The defendant should not gain more $$ for the vehicle if it is not what she was selling for........
I came back and EDITED and I was right and I do undesrstandy why they had to pay the insurance but I wouldv'e asked for Proof !!!

I honestly don't think she should have gotten anything back. What her and her BF did was idiotic and absurd and losing that money and having a judge call them out on their stupidity should have taught them a lesson. BF wasn't at work. He just didn't wanna go on TV and show his face because he knew he was stupid for that

Too bad you weren't comfortable before you put down a deposit. She never even met them??? How is she going to testify what the deal was???

I'm surprised the plaintiff didn't get $1500 back and more surprised everyone here agrees to it! If they canceled shouldn't they just lose the deposit?! judge was talking about paying installments of the car but that's only when you possess the car and are riding it. In this case they never even test drove it lol I think the deposit is what's holing the car and if you decide not to purchase then that's what you should lose..

The Plaintiff still doesn't get that they were in the wrong. The Defendant shouldn't have had to return anything. The Plaintiffs backed out on a deal. They decided after the fact that they couldn't afford the car. Too bad. They should have figured that out before dropping $1500 off towards the purchase. The costs, plus punitive for the threats should have cost the Plaintiff an additional $500.

I understand that the plaintiffs did something stupid but when the defendant says she wasn't asking for the 1500 that shows right there that it wasn't a deposit the 100 was, I also don't believe that they sold the Jeep for Less, them changing their mind is why they forfeited the deposit.

Boyfriend is potential domestic violence situation should plaintiff break up with him to resort to stalking car dealer outside her home everyday until he gets money back & to have plaintiff be there instead of him who actually dealt w/car dealer! 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Don’t people have the right to change their minds? What country do I live in again Marilyn Milian? Why not cheerfully return the $1500 to the young couple and keep the $100 for your trouble? I guess that they wanted to keep the $1600 and then sell it. That’s immoral and un-ethical in my opinion. Also greedy.

DeePooosIT... Everyone say it together, De Pos It... A sum of money(generally non refundable) to hold an item or dwelling. If everyone could just change their minds a few days later, WHAT IS THE POINT OF A DEPOSIT? The Plaintiff didn't even test drive it, so why give an additional 1500? Is that a deposit or partial payment? The way the Plaintiff is looking at the Judge makes me think she has no idea how life really works.
