I love how Space Jam 2 cancels Pepe Le Pew for harassing Penelope, but seem to have missed the part where she is just as bad as Pepe. It’s like the people complaining about old school cartoons like Popeye for making the girl the damsel in distress, but missed the part where the damsels saved their heroes that normally save them (like the time Olive Oyl ate spinach and beat up a Swedish built woman for kidnapping Popeye).

I always did love it when Penelope would get drawn to Pepe, since it always was a great reversal of him being the one going for romance with her, and how he couldn't take it when the shoe was on the other foot. It always Madd some great laughs from these cartoons
I had an idea (like in a Looney Tunes show) where he could have more-or-less retired from acting and opened a restaurant WITH Penelope because they've actually been in a relationship all along.
I know a lot of people feel bothered and upset that Pepe and Penelope are removed from the Space Jam New Legacy and this might make them less likely to come back, but if lots of people who fought for Speedy Gonzalez to come back to TV and succeeded, it's most likely that Pepe and Penelope will come back as well. @@jodyreeder4820 Thanks for backing me up on this one. This stuff happens rapidly because a l o t of story is packed into just 6 minutes. So everytime I see something that doesn't seem to make sense, I find myself asking "What did I miss THIS time??" It's kinda ridiculous talking to myself to sort out what's happening, but that just adds more to the comedy But yeah, this scene is actually straightforward: feelings of desire & affection have now become MUTUAL. So although it's obvious Pepé still doesn't realize Penelope is a cat, she full well knows he is a skunk, but wants him anyway Yesss! Good healthy interracial message there 💘 💒 👍
He obviously wants to be the one who does the chasing. You can see the same thing in the Archie comics during that one time Jughead chased Ethel, she was rejecting him when normally it's him rejecting her.
In the first scene I always thought she liked him because he turned blue. Now I realized her sinuses were blocked from her falling in the water so she can't smell him anymore.
If he was a new skunk- then he wouldn't be Pepe =_= he'd just be a different skunk, and that'd make people MORE mad The revision would be- show Penelope genuinely loves pepe a bit more often than it was shown in the show, I think the running gag in the show was that she did love him- but his skunk odor was awful so she'd run away all the time
Then you are making a new character. Pepes shtick is that he is a hopless romantic that is own downfall is that he is a skunk. If anything the joke needs to be clarified ina. Funny way to have the cat like him slightly but the stink makes her see him differentlt.
I remember one line Pepe said that was VERY adult. He was chasing Penelope and he said "Come back, darling, I will cure your shyness. You just need a little acupuncture... like making love." That was some SERIOUS adult humor that went over my head as a kid.
This is what made Pepe work that not all the cartoons were one sided and he did get a taste of his own medicine. Now if these episodes were brought up to counter the arguments maybe Pepe could still be in new Looney Tunes shows.

Proving definitively it isn't that Penelope's not interested. The minute she can't smell Pepe, she's perfectly fine with him.
I always did love it when Penelope would get drawn to Pepe, since it always was a great reversal of him being the one going for romance with her, and how he couldn't take it when the shoe was on the other foot. It always Madd some great laughs from these cartoons
Pepe - *hunts for her*
Penelope - *hunts him back*
Pepe - “wait that’s illegal I’mma head out”
He does not deserve to be fired from his job
Right? Smhmhmh
Pepe will return once again as a better skunk without wooing them
After he fights cancel culture and Charles Blow
I had an idea (like in a Looney Tunes show) where he could have more-or-less retired from acting and opened a restaurant WITH Penelope because they've actually been in a relationship all along.
@@philipmonihan8222 Yes! And they get called back, only their show works in that restaurant where they show how innocent their relationship was.
@@savannahhague4989 Yeah, yeah. I like that.
And yes, I am all for her loving him back and trying to make the relationship work despite the smell. I wanna see that come back for a new modern interpretation!!
Really Scent would be a great format to pattern any future episodes starring the two after... 😊😊😊
They NEED To Give Him ANOTHER Chance
I heard there was talk of a (sadly) now-cancelled Pepe and Penelope movie not so long ago. They even had the script and some sample animation of it already before they pulled the plug on it...
The first clip is one of my favorites. Penelope dropping the key down her neckline pretty much saying, "You want out? You're going to have to feel around my naughty bits to find it."
Also at 2:48 her squeal of delight is just hilarious.
That 2:48 squeal is also super cute! 😊😊😊
These shorts where the tables turn are the best ones
That sneezing always gets me every time 🤣🤣
The way he says “Madame” right here at 2:13 is freaking hysterical! 🤣🤣🤣
Penelope: Le RER, RER.
Me: You French tiger. 😄😄😄😄😄
3:05 - 3:12 That's one of the best hugs I've ever seen 🥺
So wholesome too! 😊😊😊
Man’s got out the friend zone, truly a hero
Pepe need his show and movie.
My stepdad bought my mom a Bengal kitten for her birthday last year. And after two days, we named her Penelope Puddycat.
Charles Blow should be banned from Facebook and Twitter for hurting an innocent cartoon character.
Yes that is true my friend I agree with u 100%.
Damn right. But Dave Chapelle said a risky joke about Pepe Le Pew that he is a rapist, but he is not. he is a skunk seeking love.
@@FreddyFernandoGonzalez1987 💯% true
Some people are impossible. Makes me grateful they're not in my family. Makes me pity the family members they have for having to live under the same roof with them everyday 😪
@@magnificentmuttley154 thank you and my family loves all the Loony Tunes characters including Pepè le pew. I hope they won’t do the same on Fifi La Fume in the reboot of Tiny Toons Adventure.
@@FreddyFernandoGonzalez1987 Right... what Millennials & GenZ grew up watching: Fifi LeFume & Johnny Pew 🧀 🤥
Hmm... Johnny Pew? If he was a product of Pepé & Penelope he'd be a hybridization of the two; half cat & half skunk. Lol 😆. I dunno! I regret not having watched Cartoon Network in the late 90's/ early 2000's or I'd know about more recent Looney Tunes
Oh well, I've got plenty of time to catch up. Terrific to see that Chuck Jones returned to Warner Brothers Animation in 1993, & revived the show. The episodes I've found so far are a smattering of Pepé Le Pew, Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy, Bugs & others. And they were made until 1997
So, God Bless You, Chuck Jones & your animators & writers who returned with you from the old days! May You Rest In Peace: 1912--2002
Anyway, you're welcome, Freddy. Try not to let this long comment weird you out. Sir-Types-Alot, that's me!
Buff Pepe le Pew was a memory that I thought I had forgotten. Now is back, and I don't think is going anywhere.
I can't blame him from running from a sniffling, coughing Penelope. I wouldn't want to catch pneumonia either.
2:49 Penelope looks soo cute.
This is my exact reaction whenever I see my crush😂
We want pepe to see the light of day again
i like the part when he said
2:19 "Madam, control yourself"
This is why I was little angered when they wanted to cancel him. Cause like I tell people the reason the cat runs; is cause he is a skunk he stinks, but when he smell good. That cat is after him.
He's loveblind.
You learn a lot of pick up lines from Pepe Le Pew. Gotta love Pepe Le Pew! I do! Love it especially when Penelope Pussycat reciprocates the feelings back!!!
Pepe has always been my first original favorite toon. Him and Penelope are my favorite toon couple lol
Daffy's ignorant ass is a very close second lol
I love the way they both bounce around everywhere, it’s so cute
People so often forget she used to give as well as she got. Still my favorite couple.💖
"Madame!! Control yourself!!" 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Pepe and Penelope should feature more in the Looney Tunes.
Right. Warner should make some new _Pepé Le Pew_ episodes
Pepe Le Pew should still be, as suggested by Linda Jones (daughter of Chuck Jones) a job-seeking candidate who keeps getting rejected but keeps changing up his routine with Penelope as his agent.
I vote Democratically and I hate that cancel culture tries to cancel things from the past. Honestly why I deleted Twitter too much hate.
Welcome to the club
Bro that little jumping up and down chase is hilarious
Pepe Le Peu can't get a taste of his own medicine. I just love this character
Doesn't get much better than that first one. I love it when the tables get turned.
They’re so cute together
I'm sorry am I the only one that noticed that Pepe apparently lifts? Look at his back after he gets dunked in blue paint, boy is a unit! No wonder Penelope's heart started beating. Get em girl!
It's the "oh n o (O.O)" for me, im hollering 😂😂💀😭 0:48
They always say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but in Penelope's case the way to a woman's heart is through her nose.
Well women do have a stronger sense of smell than men do so it wouldn't be suprising.
@@decoraqueena6413 That's right.
Space jam 2 would not be the same without pepe le pew.
How can she think of a blue tom cat so recklessly.
@mohamed zayan And Jerry going ballistic too
Without the odor, suddenly Penelope finds him attractive. She caught a cold by falling into the water, right? So she couldn't smell him
@@magnificentmuttley154 That too sounds right, maybe both
@@jodyreeder4820 Thanks for backing me up on this one. This stuff happens rapidly because a l o t of story is packed into just 6 minutes. So everytime I see something that doesn't seem to make sense, I find myself asking "What did I miss THIS time??" It's kinda ridiculous talking to myself to sort out what's happening, but that just adds more to the comedy
But yeah, this scene is actually straightforward: feelings of desire & affection have now become MUTUAL. So although it's obvious Pepé still doesn't realize Penelope is a cat, she full well knows he is a skunk, but wants him anyway
Yesss! Good healthy interracial message there 💘 💒 👍
yeah in that ending I think that just like how Pepe mistook her for a female skunk she mistook him for a big alley tom cat
Should've titled this "the times when the naturally, intentionally offensive, scent of a SKUNK wasn't such a turnoff", lol.
it’s this that is the reason why i named my tuxedo kitten penelope 🥺💗
Aw man I remember watching these a long time ago. Memories
This doesn't make any since Pepe Le Pew is running away from Penelope?
He was so attracted to her when he was chasing her but now she chasing him?
He obviously wants to be the one who does the chasing. You can see the same thing in the Archie comics during that one time Jughead chased Ethel, she was rejecting him when normally it's him rejecting her.
They have a chase each other relationship
I wish they didn't have to act so love stuck but rather act like friends with compassion.
The thrill of the hunt
Since when was Looney Tunes supposed to make sense
Pepe le pew will return for future developments.
Pepe didn't die
He is immortal
Pepe Le Pew now knows how Penelope Pussycat feels being chased by someone who is madly in love.
In the first scene I always thought she liked him because he turned blue. Now I realized her sinuses were blocked from her falling in the water so she can't smell him anymore.
They revise Pepe by tone down his behavior and make him a new skunk
No. Absolutely not, Male Feminist
If he was a new skunk- then he wouldn't be Pepe =_= he'd just be a different skunk, and that'd make people MORE mad
The revision would be- show Penelope genuinely loves pepe a bit more often than it was shown in the show, I think the running gag in the show was that she did love him- but his skunk odor was awful so she'd run away all the time
Then you are making a new character.
Pepes shtick is that he is a hopless romantic that is own downfall is that he is a skunk. If anything the joke needs to be clarified ina. Funny way to have the cat like him slightly but the stink makes her see him differentlt.
@@terrywood3393 then what kind of person does that make you? Respecting women and their personal space is basic human decency.
2:35 marriage in a nutshell dude.
"but madaaam... Your conduct is unseemly!!" 🤣
The lesson to learn from this video is...
Never overstock the fernise of love
I remember one line Pepe said that was VERY adult. He was chasing Penelope and he said "Come back, darling, I will cure your shyness. You just need a little acupuncture... like making love." That was some SERIOUS adult humor that went over my head as a kid.
"I have overstoked the furnace!" 😂
Pepe le pew is not dead
He is immortal
I love that the first clip, is the first ever episode i watched as a kid with Pepe in it!
This is what made Pepe work that not all the cartoons were one sided and he did get a taste of his own medicine. Now if these episodes were brought up to counter the arguments maybe Pepe could still be in new Looney Tunes shows.
Honestly, it’s kinda nice to see Pepe get a taste of his own medicine. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is literally when this cartoon is at its best! I call it Penelope's "LE RAWR RAWR!" moments! 🤣🤣🤣
He's one of my favorites. Ppl are so fucking backwards man😫😫😫
Pepe isn't afraid of Penelope he just doesn't like kisses
Thanks so much for posting this! 💖 Pepe and Penelope were my favourite characters from the Looney Tunes, and are still my favourite! I always thought they were star-crossed lovers. 😅 Circumstances made it so that they couldn't mutually indulge in their love for one another - it's kinda sad 😅 but I love how they wrote the gags. Please don't cancel Pepe Le Pew and Penelope. 😢
Pepe will keep up the courage to fight cancel culture and return to looney tunes as a new skunk.
I hope pepe will return.
I hope my prayers and wishes will bring him back
same here and I grew up with this character
Rest In Piece Pepe Le Pew😭😢. I hope Warner Bros brings you back.
There's a Petition for bring back Pepe Le Pew
You should check it out
@@lexramstudios1386 oh yeah, I've seen it. I just wasn't sure if I was gonna sign it yet, But since we want Pepe Le Pew back we should both sign it.
Every Looney Tunes character is going to be part of a controversy over time. They’re relatable after all and with that relatability comes controversy.
I miss the old cartoons 😔🥰🙂
