@@sdmpodcast554 It's more difficult with less cylinders but a large/race cammed or stroked "JDM" motor can get that "Stepped" sound even if it's a little mellowed out compared to a V8+ vehicle. The main reason you never see it however, is the small motor isn't really going to benefit much from all that plus the money is better spent reinforcing and going force induction. On that same note, you can work your LS equivalent engines to get that "high pitched/high rev limit" that JDM and small Euro engines are known for by rebuilding a V8 for a higher compression ratio, but again the research and the money just isn't as efficient...since you can just go buy a honda motor (or rotary) that does that job better. That's why we have options!

Oh okay. This car no longer has an exhaust system. It is a full on drag car. Owner put in a single turbo lsx motor, and can run 9's in the 1/4 mile
