Tabboo is one the best musicals of the modern age. It was ahead of its time. I adore it

I have uploaded the full broadway musical (filmed the day after opening night) as well as the Serino Coyne B-Roll/Press Reel footage - finally, I was so enthralled by the overlapping stories of Taboo that I caved and bought the double DVD set of “Taboo : Boy George’s Hit Musical”; scanned it & uploaded it here & to various other hosting sites so that others who enjoy the less traditional/more-“odd ball” musicals may also get the chance to enjoy.
Note of “warning” - the entire plot & story structure of the original TABOO was drastically changed by Rosie O’Donnell before the transition from the West End to Broadway.
After having seen the original TABOO in London, she financed the entire broadway production - and in the *opposite* way to that of the more “traditional” role of “silent partner” or “financial backer” 🫤🤦🏻♀️😳
The UK version has a far more well-rounded plot than it’s “Broadway counterpart” - but it definitely grants insight to the Leigh Bowery elements that were haphazardly thrown into the Broadway version (speaking of Leigh - who else wants an entire musical about the life and times of Leigh Bowery? I cannot be the only person who felt compelled to do an internet search on him. There is far less than one would expect from such a larger-than-life persona available about him online. But what you CAN find will legitimately PULL you down a rabbit hole so bizarre… no words can suffice to prepare for such a fascinating “journey” 😜😙🖤) and as a result, the entire finished product of both shows is almost startlingly different - though both are worthy of one’s time IMHO.
The UK performances are better all around; as is more-or-less everything else 🫤🤷🏻♀️.
Funnily enough - with a far, FAR smaller budget, the UK version also has far better costumes & is higher quality all around.
On a side note (Or sideways note? Speaking of Euan Morton I mean lol 😅) I saw Euan play TOMMY about 2 years after Taboo on Broadway in an “off-broadway” (in the Hamptons, which was quite by chance 😮) version of the 1993 “rock opera” The Who’s Tommy - and I was (and it is painful to even think this) hugely disappointed 😔 because Euan is basically a male soprano.
I also have the original broadway musical Tommy on my channel as well as the professionally-filmed B-Rolls (in which the role of Tommy was originated on stage brilliantly by Michael Cerveris in his broadway debut) - to which Euan’s voice simply was not compatible (as absolutely GORGEOUS as it is 🙈🙈🙈)
I can’t fault Euan so much as the casting director 🙈🤷🏻♀️

This song Stranger In This World is so beautiful. Euan Morton has a soulful voice. I actually saw the Broadway show Taboo in January 2004. I am a huge Boy George & Culture Club fan. I love Boy George.
I saw Taboo in Salford years ago I’m the same age as Boy George and it brought back so many memory’s of the clothes and music at the time one of the best musicals I’ve seen and I’ve seen so many
He should of played George in worried about the boy.

George-Chan & Euan-Chan is So Cute
I knew Iain (as he was then) in secondary school. We were in the same English, and French, class. He was quite memorable! Very funny. When we had to read Shakespeare plays the English teacher Mrs Taggart used to give him the main role & about 6 others to do. He even did Death of a Salesman with an American accent

This song is incredible and so is the show itself. Too bad it got so many negative reviews. It's clear it had more with the critics' dislike of George than wit the quality of the musical itself. Here's hoping it'll be recreated one day.
