Ne-Yo and Amber Riley were the best to me in this performance. Queen did a good job, but pretty much everyone else just tried to sound like the prior versions. Ne-Yo did a great job, he put his own flare to this song and nailed it! Well done, sir, well done

I had never heard of Ne-Yo before this production, but I certainly wish I had immediately afterwards. Tin Man has always been my favorite character in Wizard of Oz lore, and he brought the character to life in ways I had never imagined.
Then you have got to listen to his music. For starters, might I suggest So Sick?

I saw the Wiz last Saturday at my high school. Just as great as I thought it would be. The songs were great, the performances were top-notch, the scenery could need a touch-up or two, but overall it was a captivating waste of my time.

Since the movie version of The Wiz has been the only version I've ever seen or heard, I didn't know all of Tin Man's songs were not only supposed to be "sung" instead of the "talk-sing" thing Nipsy Russell did, but that the character had some of the greatest songs in the whole play! I actually think What Would I Do If I Could Feel might be the best song in The Wiz, and Ne-Yo and NBC should have actually released it as a single.

Leonic Dragon Honestly,the movie is much better than this. The actors are good in both but the songs in the live version are modernized crap. The only ones I think are good in Live are You Can't Win,Mean Old Lion and (to an extent) He's The Wizard.
