In a time where Ave Maria has been used in some weird situations, the usage in the intro was absolutely fantastic!
The OST hit RUclips a few days ago, and the chase theme is appropriately titled "William Hell Overture."
This series can be funny one minute and traumatizing the next. It occasionally gets very dark and emotional. It's definitely a roller coaster of a series
I love this manga/show but ya'll are right. I think the good outweighs the bad but we all have our different comfort levels.
The thing is that this show bounces back and forth between being pervy and incredibly endearing.
After next season alot of the perv stuff kinda stops happening

I'm glad you guys were talking about how this show doesn't sexualize their underage characters, just their older ones. Going forward, their may be some moments where it's like suck in teeth reaction, they still don't treat their minor characters as things to goggle at and like adults in teen bodies that need to have their tits and ass out every scene...I'm so glad I gave this show a chance after the 1st episode, cause I was so worried...but no, most of the things that could seem iffy is more like a gag and a look over it and not a "Oh look at how pretty and how naked these characters are! Look at them and nose bleed" type of thing...
I love the techno WIlliam Hell OVerture. This whole soundtrack is great. The needle drop when Momo latches onto the train is called Paranormal Funk and it's maybe my favorite song on the soundtrack.
Normally the hay-hay visual pun wouldn't get me, but that stuttering orbital motion fucked my shit right up. I scared the cat laughing too late. Congrats to Evan Dubs.
I do absolutely hate the one species of aliens. They come on screen and I have to hold my husbands hand.
The episode the show went to the next level and never came back down!

This is the episode I was waiting for you guys to get to after you were sort of icked out by that one scene in the first episode. Personally, I don’t think the reveal about Turbo Granny’s backstory would’ve been as effective if the grapey scene from episode one were censored or hinted at rather than shown explicitly. At the very least I think it shows that that scene serves a purpose and isn’t simply gratuitous. I would love to hear your guys’ thoughts on this.
I think they'd still have the same thoughts on the scene. They had more of an issue with the presentation of the scene, rather than just the content itself. Especially the panning camera on the "Momo focus your chi" part. The Turbo Granny lore doesn't change the context *of that*.
@@pingpong607 Yeah but I'm just saying that it's possible that it could be sort a meta play on the part of the writers to sort of lure a horny teenage male audience into half-guiltily thirsting after that scene but then come back in this episode to say "Okay here's a line you absolutely don't cross." Not that it necessarily needs to be said that violating and murdering teenage girls is an absolutely horrendous act, but there is a throughline of non-con to both scenes that could at least serve to sexually confuse someone who did fall for the writers' trap in episode one. I think that's more powerful than just straight up saying sexual exploitation is bad.
