    Have just ordered this and am eagerly awaiting its arrival! But, what a great play through, such an interesting time period and should be a great challenge! Thanks!

    Ah, and just as i posted the comment on part 1 and head into part 2 you immediately mentions the official rules change about ruling :D

    Agh! Just realized I have been short-changing myself and Wakhan on court size after watching this: had only been counting the Political icons and not the Ranks!! :( Thanks for putting these together, good stuff.

    Oof, I was playing the Wakhan wrong the whole time. I was using the left-to-right rule to choose which card to use for an action, but the video made me realize it only applies to the bonus actions.
    At least now I know what I will do tonight :)

    Hi Riky, if Wakhan takes the event card that says remove all the tribes an armies from a region, how does she take the choice? she selects the leftmost region in the AI card? even if it damages herself? (adore this game... great job with Wakhan!)

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights  3 года назад

      Hi! yes, you got it. Wakhan does't care much for her loyalties!

  • @warlord76i
    @warlord76i 4 года назад

    So given a situation where the British had dominance and Wakhan purchases the dom. check card, in this case when u counting influence all the patriots in Wakh. court are counted or just the British patriots? How about her prize. It matters if hes prize is other than the dominant side or all the prizes are counted regardless to the dominant side?

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights  4 года назад +2

      Wakhan is always loyal to all and none, so will be always in the running when a coalition is dominant. Then you count her gifts plus prizes and patriots loyal to the dominant coalition. Pragmatic loyalty is of no importance to influence.

    At minute 6.37 if there were no cards with spies and tribes, what would Wakhan do?

  • @Terjil
    @Terjil 5 лет назад +2

    Why did you use the "Betray" action on her Herad card when, after your actions, the event card would have done the same for free? For me it seems you just gave away 2 coins and one spy for nothing? The overthrow rule also triggers of event cards, doesn´t it?

      @@BoxofDelights I just bet my parents in a 3 player game 10-4-2... but it was their first game and they don´t really play games. But they both liked it and want to play again.
      But I myself lost yesterday against Wakhan... 9 - 7... the last dominance check came 2 cards to early and triggered the one on the market... I was leading 5 - 3... but in her last turn she used 2 cylinders as tribes and then was in the lead by 5 cylinders to 4... the card triggered... she got 6, I got 2... she won.... she´s such a beast... thx for her! ;-)

    • @Terjil
      @Terjil 5 лет назад

      @@BoxofDelights Oh.. and I have two questions... I hope you can answer them.
      First one... when Wakhan has no cylinders left and plays a card with tribes or spies... does she convert cylinders? And when she does... where does she take them from?
      Second... if Wakhan has to discard cards because of the court limit... and the card she has to discard is a political card... so her court limit decreases again... does she loose another card right at that moment, like a chain reaction? I had this in 2 games... and she decreased from 6 court limit to 3...
      Oh.. as I think about it I might have played it wrong... when she has 2 political, 2 patriotic and 2 leveraged cards... she will still loose one of the leveraged... am I right?
      Hope you can help me ;-)

      @@Terjil my gosh, I never saw these questions... yes, if she runs out of pieces she will follow the rules and grab them from the board; you can find these answers on my FAQ here: www.boxofdelights.net/wakhan-faq; For political cards, she makes keeping them her top priority, but if she ONLY has political cards, then she will have to discard a political card, and yes, reduce her tableau back down to 3 cards. If she has other cards other than political, then those lower priority ones go first, that's right. Good luck ! R.R.

      @@BoxofDelights yeah I came to the comments to see if anyone else had asked this. It hurt even worse seeing it left you unable to buy the 3spy/3move card, and made it the next card she bought. Absolutely broke my heart seeing you give her that money too.

    At 17:51 i see that whakan still ruling kandahar and i really dont understand how can be. Citing from the rule book ^If there is a tie no player rules the region. Further more: Armies belonging to enemy coalition can prevent u from taking a ruler token , even if there are no enemy tribes^

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights  4 года назад +1

      Yup, it's a good question. Because Wakhan has 1 tribe and the most numerous of armies is the British with 3, Wakhan's total count is 4. I don't have any tribes so I cannot compete. We ignore pragmatic loyalty when considering who rules a region; rather Wakhan sticks to the "loyal to all / loyal to none" notion. So Wakhan continues to rule. cheers! R.R>

    • @warlord76i
      @warlord76i 4 года назад

      @@BoxofDelights Yap thx. But i would have another question:how should i understand t ruling when if an army is present i cant rule the region? So the army is present before i put my tribe or the army came after. Both cases can prevent ruling? To be more clear: if there is an army in a region and i put my single tribe i dont rule, but if there is nothing there and i put my tribe i rule the region...but what if an army comes after? and im talking about only an army so no enemy tribes....in one scene an army is there in another the army comes after.

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights  4 года назад +1

      @@warlord76i it depends on if you are loyal to the army or not. Assume there is 1 army there or 1 army is added: If it is an Army you are loyal to, then your 1 tribe will rule (since your total count is 2: 1 army + 1 tribe); if it is an army you are not loyal to, then no-one rules, since the 1 Army versus your 1 tribe is equal. Does this answer? R.R.

      @@BoxofDelights So basically if i have there only one tribe that is mine, i rule than if an army comes there and i`m not loyal to it i loose ruling? Soo for an example sake: lets assume that the army that comes into play or it is already there is an army im not loyal to . So if i put one tribe there i cant rule and if no pieces are there i put a tribe and only my tribe is there afterwards comes an army (1) im not loyal to also lose ruling?
