This is by far the best version of this song in Cinderella that I've heard! :) I just got the role of the Queen last week and I'm especially excited to be singing this song with my good friend who is playing the king (and also, my first role to be featured in a song this school year). Well done, you two!
I played the King in a production of Cinderella, and was sad that they cut this song for our version, because it's so beautiful, but they decided to give the song, "Do I Love you Because your Beautiful" to the King after changing the lyrics around to "Do you Love Her Because She's Beautiful", It was more a song about the King questioning his son about the girl he barely knows.
i played the king in my play in hinsdale central school NY it was my last high school play not much of a sports person i easily choose play over sports
@iluvmusic114 It doesn't fit well because it was originally written for "Meet Me in St. Louis" but didn't fit well since the rest of the film was written by someone else. They shelved it and stuck it into Cinderella later. It's a lovely song, though!

People are like, What school is this? This school's stage is so much bigger than ours! And I'm here like... Not all plays are at school's you know... I've done 11 outside of school and only 2 in school.
