Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson dies aged 76

- Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has died at the age of 76, his family has said.
Mr Eriksson had pancreatic cancer and at the beginning of the year revealed he only had a year to live "at best."

Sad news. He did start bringing in the changes and instilling confidence that has improved the team and set up. The ridiculous hounding by the media of his private life was shameful however.
He will always be remembered for his skills his knowledge and determination and support he continued to give to others till his end R.I.P ❤

RIP Sven. Even though England didnt win anything under him, ill always remember it as the last great / genuine England squad that got me invested, that i genuinely wanted to do well, coming from a Welsh man, the English will understand that as a compliment lol, i hope! Top man and manager.

Had the good fortune to meet him a couple of times - a class act. And he was a fantastic manager, one of the very best of the modern era. He did a wonderful job at my club, Fiorentina, in the late 80s, taking us into the old UEFA Cup. And we loved the way he spoke Italian. Grazie a RIP Sven-Go. Non sarai mai dimenticato.
