This takes me back to music appreciation class in college. Our instructor loooved Rachmaninoff. He took us up to New York to see Copland's ballet Appalachian Spring. Perhaps it could have been oulined better in advance. Perhaps it wouldn't have helped.
0:14...best transition!!! Best version!!! Best conductor!!!Best orchestra!!!
Thanks for that great version of this piece. The performance is brilliant, as it was in the movie "Berliner Philharmoniker in Singapur". Thanks a lot!
Without doubt, it's the best recording I've ever heard!
No words, just emotion.
Bravíssimo!! Brilhant First Flute, Oboé, Clarinet, Trumpet. Congratulations Sir Simon Rattle and Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra!
Bravo!!!! Fantastico.....

So who does Berlin Philharmonic get when they need a saxophonist?
Probably the best in town 😊😊

Первые такты на черта обрезали?
It’s a teaser. Oops “Sample”
i prefer Kondrashin!!
that's because you haven't heard a Russian tank engine starting... :)))
Certainly less smokey!
really too slow for my preference...
Agreed. Not a waltz.
@GVK000 do it better...
The music is brilliant but needs a conductor to put some life into it. Rattle is not it.
