I understand where Shannon is coming from, but a lot of the "Brady can make any WR great" was due to the protection he had in prior years where he could stay in the pocket and get those receivers separation. If you're going to throw the ball, and I don't care if it's Lamar, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc, and there is no receiver who is getting separation the QB is going to look like doodoo unless he's mobile and can maybe get a few yards to save the play.
I don't disagree that Patriots offense this year is completely garbage, but I also don't put ALL the blame on Brady. There is always blame on the QB when you lose, whether it's by 1 point or 20. This is a team sport and no one position is immune to fault. However, with no weapons for the other team to worry about, there's no reason to fear the Patriots or Brady. At least when there was Amendola, Hogan, Gronk & Edelman, Brady had options and it was tougher for defenses to block everyone. Now, the only real threat is Edelman and possible White. Everyone else is so new and lacking any sort of connection with Brady that it doesn't matter.

the difference is that Jackson, Mahomes and Watson can scramble if the pocket collapses or the receivers arent getting separation..when they scramble, WR have a habit of getting open..for Brady, if he is rushed and no one is open within 4 seconds, its a throw away because he isnt leaving the pocket..Brady isnt a play maker like they are

Although I agree with Shannon, don’t you find it hypocritical that he never blames LeFraud for losing and blames his teammates. Last year LeFraud activated “playoff mode” just to choke against the Suns, Knicks, and Nets to miss the playoffs and this man was making excuses.
