Guys, I'm completely in love my my Carnaby EQ. You should be shipping these out by the ton. On voice, it's just insane how a little low mid cut not only cleans up the mud but ADDS so many good things. You don't need extreme settings, despite what I'm hearing on reviews and forums. I've been searching for this tone more than 40 years. I've owned so much high end gear from names that will make most engineers a bit envious, but a Camden and a Carnaby is a truly magical combo. If you ever turn your attention to a compressor limiter then I'll order one blind. Thank you so much for making everything better.
Man, you guys are awesome. Love how innovative your products are, while still being somewhat cost friendly to people like me that do this stuff on the weekends. Please don't ever change!
This was a really interesting video, thanks for doing this. Is great to hear you talk about new products in detail instead of just putting it up on the site saying now available
Beautiful work guys, I’m going to grab a stereo pair. Really love how you guys think outside the box with each of your products. I would love to see your take on a compressor.
I'm a pianist, so piano comes to mind first and foremost (maybe not solo piano, but in a mix), as well as Fender Rhodes (MKI or subsequent iterations or clones), and Wurlis. Drum overheads, horn section, string section, and gospel choir recording - all in stereo - also come to mind. @@cranborneaudio
Well done Sean, Andy, Elliot and of course, Ed. Big ups to the rest of your manufacturing and production teams as well. Thanks for a new product guys. At this point I might as well ask when the compressor, channel strip and the mixing console are coming lol. Keep experimenting and have fun.
Sean, Andy, Elliot & Ed (I hope I didn't miss anyone) congrats! You guys are true inspiration. Passion. Professionalism. Quality. I believed in you the moment I decided to buy my 500R8, then the rest of the Cranborne gear was just a matter of time 😜 You never dissapoint. Very excited about this one 🔥 Badass gear 🤘👏
I preordered HE2 for use in Oslo Mastering. Can't wait. But with yours filiosofy, clean, musical, I really want you to make a least 4 band Mastering eq.
My Legacy edition pair is on order and just about to pull the pin on the ADAT to add more space to my 500R8 setup. Suppose it's safe to say I'm a fan boy! can't wait to get cranking those harmonics - (just can't install the new drivers yet 'cos of installer issues)
Will be getting a couple of these and maybe having 8 channels if it does really well. Still very interested what if other companies do using this concept in the future. Won't be as cheap as this so I don't think it will take over if that happened but would be interesting to see what mastering grade manufactures do with this idea. But for now this will be a really useful tool. Would be a great first analogue buy for someone that wants something that gives the best of the world of analogue to then build from there and get enough from one unit right away. Would be lovely to see you guys do something just a interesting with a compressor... two compressors has been a great thing for vocals for years so maybe a double compressor in one unit would be a new idea sort of... maybe you guys can think of something brand new again. I'm thinking for my home setup to use the new warm audio preamp and a pair of these... I've got a few other things to add to that chain but those paired is a great value for money. At the moment it's theory because I need to use one of these myself, it's always different from someone else's listening tests. Most interested in what it can do to vocals and feel like it will help a vocalists performance with the way it reacts.
This looks awesome and sounds really good. What's the main difference in the Drawmer 1976 vs what the Carnaby is doing when comparing them as multi band saturation?
i still don´t understand how optosync works. Is there a cable internally connecting the modules? Are there actually LEDs blinking from one module to the next? This works?
I got the 500R8 three years ago and I love it. I'm super happy to see Cranborne still moving forward and doing well. They make great stuff!!
Thanks so much for the kind words, it means a lot to us! And there's a lot more in the pipeline, don't you worry! 💪
@@cranborneaudio Very cool.

Thanks so much Colin, this is why we do what we do! So glad it's working well for you!

Thanks Jayce! We don't intend to change. This is who we are! ❤️
Just got a pair of these yesterday, I'm blown away! Best sounding mist musical eq I've ever used. Keep up the good work guys!
Thanks so much for the kind words! It means a lot to us! We hope you continue to enjoy Carnaby 500! 🙌

19” rack stereo version please.
Interesting thought, any thoughts on how you'd specifically like to use it?
Primarily for mix bus duties. Please consider it. 🙂
@@naakaalastudio6655 Thanks very much for taking the time to let us know. Have a great week!

Thank you for sharing the process and wonderful info on this innovative gift to the audio, music world! Today I ordered my first pair of Carnaby’s!
Thanks for taking an interest in our nerding. Welcome to the Cranborne family! ❤
Love this approach to audio and products
Thanks so much, we love what we do!

I love every part of the 500R8 and your preamps. Amazing gear. Awesome price. Cant want to try some EQs.
I have that chair at work LOL
great video btw-this answers a lot of questions I've had about the EQ!
Awesome, thanks for taking the time to let us know! Means a lot!
Great interview like always and more than likely this will be my first Cranborne Audio purchase well first couple!
So cool. I'm excited to try these out!
Congrats on release guys!
Great stuff Cranborne Audio, hope there will come a 19" rack stereo Carnaby in the future even if two 500 units can be used :):
Cranborne is King
Now that I've watched all of the videos... I guess I need to go out and buy one. See for myself.

I’d love one to go with with my rhodes, are you developing one with an in and out socket like a guitar pedal?

We'd love to hear what you think of it when you get hold of a pair, we think you'll fall in love with them!
I like it. Might fit in well with ambient synth. Will come back to this vid when I have more time.
Awesome, thanks Barry. And yes, Carnaby works beautifully for ambient synths and pads.
Congratulations! Sounds great! I guess now we just need a compressor from you guys ;)
Maybe one day! 😊
I take that as a yes! 😉
Brilliant but when is it going to be available and what's the price?
499$ i cant find date but you can make pre-order already
Heavy spinal tap atmosphere in this interview. I would love to compare this to Fab Filter Saturn, which I use a lot as my multiband saturation tool.
“It’s such a fine line between stupid, and uh…clever.”
@Cranborne Audio "Cranking it up to the max it could be a Christmas tree". So true

No cable! Blinky LEDs with transmitters and receivers:)
i would love a plug-in of this
Interesting idea, what kind of features would you like to see in that setup?
Many thanks for letting us know.
@@cranborneaudio idk... all the features the hardware has haha. anyway this is a wonderful sounding unit. congrats!
🤯
So basically you put audio into this and outcomes A8 stem drum and Bass remix with trans sidechain
Something like that! 😂
Let me guess you can connect ADAT and it gives you 8 tickets to Alton Towers
The six fixed might not have been so bad.... much like the Maag EQ
Will you guys make a more in-depth rack version of this?
Interesting thought, what in-depth features would you want to see?
Gear creators are awesomely strange. You can tell they can’t write a song. 😂 Interesting marriage of minds.
