I used a 3mm x .5 rolltap with a releif cut that i happened to have in my shop, I threaded it in about 3 threads then the releif grabbed the rollpin slot and started to spin it, i then grabbed the end of the tap with a small pair of vice grips and twisted it back and fourth while pulling and success! got them both out on a 2013 800 etec. thanx for the vid and info! i was well prepared to drill as instructed but thank god i got out clean! thanx again!

I read in a few posts where guys claim the pin is not actually requird and did not replace the it. They just tourque the bolt and used the lock tight. Hence the reason for no hole in the new bolt.

Thanks for the video! Great information! Thought I'd share I recently did a 2013 roller replacement. I was able to tap the pins with a #4 tap. Threaded in a #4 socket head cap screw and grabbed the head of the screw with a slide hammer that has a vice grip attached to the end of the tool. One action of the slide hammer and the pin pulled right out. I used a small standard tap handle which interfered with the shaft a bit. I ordered a lisle tap socket set for next time. The socket would have allowed for no interference with the shaft while tapping.

This seems like craziness!! I have stripped my bolt out and now see what fun I have in store. How can there not be a better system in place from skidoo?

I've worked on a number of different makes and models. I'm amazed at the poor engineering decisions that are made. Of course you can't make everything perfect first time, but us shop guys just shake our heads sometimes. Engineers should be out in the shop taking apart everything they've designed. You'd see a different world.

How do I find the pin size I have a 2020 Can-Am Ryker 900. Dowel Pin Part# is 420629200. My clutch has holes but there were not any pins there.

Why does everyone take the entire jackshaft out? My secondary on my XP just slides right off....

Yours is not stock then. 99.9% of the population has a stock secondary clutch.
