@@thriftingthe3rivers656 yes, thank goodness! They gave me one for 8 miles and I think it was only $3-$4 dollars. Some of the offers don’t make sense to take.
@@gorjesOnce you told the app that you couldn’t contact the customer, you lost the ability to do what the above poster suggested. What you could’ve done was to instead, text the customer with pictures of the order at their door, and Marla’s delivered. Works until it doesn’t, and when it doesn’t, you’ll get a contract violation from DD for skirting the delivery instructions. If it’s a “Hand it to me” delivery, regardless of whether they’ve changed their mind about the delivery method, you’re really supposed to hand it to them. Some customers have porch cats that I’d never leave an order alone. It’s to you, it doesn’t happen very often, 5 minutes can save you a CV. My 2¢ 😢
I thought the area you were talking about sounded familiar and then you said Cottleville! I live near there and started dashing last week. Crumbl, Chick-fil-A, McDonalds are always my go tos over there
I been a Dasher for 5 years don’t sweat it. Do a good job just pick it up and get it there. Don’t worry about your time just get the job done. After a few thousand delivery’s you can find about anything with delivering. When you use your bags other than pizza orders seat belt your orders. So they don’t move just in case. Also your dasher pizza bag can double for a larger order red bag so useful not only for just pizza. Good luck hun and stay safe!
My baby, you just need to take a breath and calm down. Lmao. You gave me anxiety just watching you. You alright. But not to anxious to window shop I've noticed. Typical woman. 😂😘
I DD just south of St Louis,MO and the money isn't bad. I watched a ton of DD videos before I started and got really good tips from the videos. I usually make $20+/hr on most days. 2-4PM are the worst hours any day.
Oh fun! You are pretty close to me then. I tried to pick a non busy time because it made me nervous to even do it. The videos on RUclips are super addicting. Ha! Thanks for watching!
My dad worked for the post office for almost 40 years. If I learned anything that has helped me in gig work is that even numbers are on one side of the road and odd on the other. Hope this helps
@@gorjesI always give drivers specifics that let the know which is my house because my house originally was my lot and a side lot. So my neighbor on that side is 105, my empty lot is considered 107 and my house is 109. Before I started giving better directions, I would see all the come to the stop sign in front of my house, stop then go on by. At that time, I’d step out and wave but if I was delivering, I’d hesitate too.
Yea, 2 - 4 is the slowest part of the day. It depends on your area, but 11 - 1:30 works best for me. I cpuld make better money in the evening but I don't want to make deliveries in the dark.
Enjoyed the video...something different! Good luck with the new gig. Keep us updated...would love to see more. Love you're personality...always upbeat...
Quick tip to get a easy doordash bag....Go to a Pizza Hut and explain to them that you just started doordash. Alot of them have Pizza bags that they will give out and this will give you a pizza bag as well to get more of those deliveries.
If you have a Papa John’s or Little Caesars in your area go in and tell them you don’t have a bag and ask if they have one. The stores in my area have them for dashers
Yeah, I’ve heard. I’ll probably only go out once a week and since I don’t drive to my 9-5 everyday anymore I think it will all balance out. Plus I just love driving around. 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
Haha your gas is cheap! Here it is almost $5 a gallon. I used to do gig work. I wouldn’t do it again, especially with gas prices the way they are, I also never did doordash. I did Postmates once and gave up. What I will say though, if you have it in your area Amazon flex is way better. You can choose routes to deliver packages or Whole Foods orders. I used to do the Whole Foods ones. There is little down time and it is all leave at the door. You also get tipped decently, but Amazon will also pay you a bit. If your looking for a side hustle I recommend that over Doordash.
Hey, don't take this the wrong way, I'm not criticizing you or anything, but you may want to consider censoring the address + names of your customers, either in this video or in future videos. That first one in particular you gave the customer's name and pretty much their whole address. It's not a huge deal, but most of the time I see dasher YT channels censor either or both of those. Likely as a just in case one of the customers finds out and complains. It could be a headache for you.
Doordash is a terrible company. You will make decent money in the beginning. Then the algorithm sends only trash. Quit for a month, come back... and you might make fair money for a week or two. Doordash does not want full time people. They want high turnover.
OMG Ioved this video. So much fun!
You're def entertaining! I just started door dash n I'm super nervous..
Great video! Thank you so much for sharing it!!!😊👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much for watching! :)
Loved this Jes! Good for you to try something different!
Yay! Thank you!
I just started also, doing it for fun, your video was fun to watch.
Aww, yay! Good luck to you! Thanks so much for watching!
You missed your calling
You should have been a comedian. I really enjoy all your videos no matter the content..I laugh out loud..thank you
Aww, thanks! I hope to make more of these and reselling related videos. Double dipping.
Great video! I loved seeing this done. Also how do you get the order like how does door dash choose you?
Thanks so much for watching. I think it chooses you based on how close you are to the restaurant.
@gorjes can you choose not to take an order they choose for you?
@@thriftingthe3rivers656 yes, thank goodness! They gave me one for 8 miles and I think it was only $3-$4 dollars. Some of the offers don’t make sense to take.
Haha I am a leave at the door person 😂 one good option that came out of quarantine ~ Covid and I am Completely 100% introvert 😂
Be safe girl!
Yessss! I love it when it says leave at door!!! Thanks so much for watching!
I think you should do it especially if they are good doordash videos like on my channel.😁
😂😂😂 this was very entertaining
Awww thanks! Glad you enjoyed! ☺️
😂😂😂you have such an entertaining personality for an introvert
When they dont Answer the door on a Hand to me order...Take a picture in the message the customer....Put the food down and take off.....
I was going to do that but it wouldn’t let me complete the order without waiting the 5 mins. I wanted to make sure I got paid. 😅

Great vid. Def get a hot bag tho makes a huge difference.
I have one coming from Doordash! I'll feel official once that arrives. Ha! Thanks so much for watching.

Omg this is bringing back all my anxiety from when I did DoorDash 😂😂😂
Yesss! It took me 2 weeks after signing up to finally get the courage to go out. 😅
Trying to get the courage. I tried today and couldn't figure out why my app didn't send me any jobs
Lol that would be me pausing to go shopping😂

Hahaha yes, I knew that. I think I was confused because they skipped numbers like went from 3 to 7. Where is the 5? Lol!

I've been thinking about doing this for a side hustle because ebay is dying.
It’s fun! And, you can get paid right away. eBay has died for me too.

Did you quit reselling ? Or are you doing all 3, job , reselling & doordash? Superstar
Yep, I’m doing all three. Reselling is still my main side gig. Thanks so much for watching. 😊
Awesome !! Keep doing what you do ! Have a great day !

Not exactly true. I asked my local pizza hut for a bag. Told them I was a Dasher, and they told me no.

love the hustle girl for money . I would just be careful with door dash it puts a lot of wear on your car 😊

Whoa! $5 bucks is too much! I’m on the waitlist for Amazon flex. It sounds amazing, though. 😊
I wish our gas was $2.79.. I’m in California and our gas is high, I just paid $6.10 😭😭😭

Ha! Yeah, it’s so nice to finally get out of the house and not worry that it would cost me $20 dollars just to get to the grocery store. 😅
Bro dropped name and adress ss 😂😂😂
Help a sis out! Time stamp? I didn’t see it and I’ve watched this about 10 times.
3 orders in 2 hours ?
Terrible timing on my part but I didn't want to be overwhelmed my first week. :) Thanks for watching.
Who ordered McDonald’s!!! Lol😂
You need a good phone holder. You spend way too much time looking down at your hand. Dangerous.
Still a newbie. Learning as I go.

I hope not....i've been watching a lot of videos and they seem to be doing well. It's def a side gig (just a little extra cash) for me. :)
